What are the golden dos and don’ts for exfoliating?

“Do scrub. Don’t skip the scrub. It’s a must-do for your skin. And it’s so easy! Aside from keeping it out of your eyes, there’s nothing you can do wrong. The trickiest thing to figure out is how often to scrub. Some peeps need to scrub more regularly than others. But if you make sure you’re doing it at least once a week you’ll be away laughing.”

Do we really need to use a serum, like, really?

“To be honest, unless you’re trying to address certain issues with your skin like wrinkles, dark spots and loss of elasticity, you could probably skip this step. Serums are usually made from the same stuff as your moisturiser – but they’re way more concentrated. Now, plant oils – well that’s a different story! Everyone should be using plant oils on their skin. Yep, even combo skin types. Using a plant oil like our Certified Organic Chia Seed Oil is like drinking your eight glasses of water a day – but for your face, with oil.”

Are there any skincare sins we should be avoiding?

“Not taking makeup off before bed! We’re all guilty of it of course, but honestly we reckon it’s a big old no-no. Like brushing your teeth, it means you’re clearing away all the junk and giving your skin a break. And think of your pillowcase too!”

How can we cheat a morning #Iwokeuplikethis glow?

“If you’re keen for a bit of post sleep glowiness – then you should definitely be using a night cream thicker and waxier than regular moisturisers; night creams are the big guns when it comes to hydration. And you’ll literally see the difference when you wake the next day.”
