Perfect brows are easier than you think. From choosing the right shape, to filling in those blanks, we show you how to create gorgeous brows in 5 steps.
CHOOSE YOUR SHAPE
Not everyone will suit a thick brow like Cara Delevingne or a defined, thin brow like Kim Kardashian. If you have a small, delicate face or a low brow bone a delicate thin brow is going to be more flattering on your face, while for those with a higher-set brow bone, thick brows are the more flattering option.
As much as we all love the brown brows and blonde hair combo that is being sported by some of the cool kids, for us mere mortals who work in offices our brows work best and look the most natural when they are only 1 or 2 shades
darker than our hair colour. If you are rocking balayage try to match the colour to your roots to keep it looking natural!
FILL IN THE BLANKS
Use a pencil or powder to fill in any blank spaces or colour over some of those
lighter hairs in the inner arch, this will give you a more even brow and also a more symmetrical look. To ensure you brows are even place the tweezers or pencil across your brows and check the tops are aligned!
We love: Bare Minerals Brow Colour is an oil free powder available in a range of
natural shades that will compliment you hair colour.
DON’T FORGET TO POWDER
Once you have pencilled in the blanks dust some translucent powder over
the top to set the powder or pencil.
We love: Youngblood Hi-Def mineral Perfecting Powder (RRP: $43.00, or buy online at RY.com.au for $32.95) keeps skin balanced by hydrating and refreshing it, locking in much needed moisture while naturally absorbing excess oil and mattifying shine.
STICK THEM DOWN
If you have curly, wild or woolly brows (and a lot of us do!) than tame them by
using a clear brow gel.
We love: Tweezerman Brow Mousse (RRP: $26.95 / RY’s price:
$24.26) is a clear, non-sticky gel that conditions brows and holds them in place for hours.
