Jane Fonda Goes From Anti-Plastic Surgery To A Facelift

Jane Fonda has turned her back on her anti-plastic surgery stance…by having plastic surgery.

The 72-year-old who once publicly shamed Hollywood actresses for succumbing to the pressure to look perfect and defy their age, and stated she would never get plastic surgery, admits she’s had work done on her eyes, neck and chin.

Chatting with Oprah this week, she says she’s never been happier. “I look more like how I feel,” Fonda said in the interview. “I’m glad I did it.”

Fonda says the reason for changing her mind was simple: she got sick of looking in the mirror and seeing a “stranger” looking back at her.

In typical Oprah fashion, she asked Fonda what she sees now. “Good work!” laughed Fonda.

The former exercise queen can’t put down her good looks to surgery alone – she’s relaunched a new set of exercise DVDs aimed at seniors, stressing the importance of fitness for older women.

What do you think? Do you applaud her honesty or wish she had stuck to her word?
