Julia Roberts on Oprah chat about kids and marriage
Julia Roberts sat down with Oprah last week to promote her upcoming movie “Eat, Pray, Love” and told Winfrey about her kids, Hazel and Finn, 5, and Henry, almost 3.
According to the Oscar winning actress her children are “angelic and wondrous”. The ‘Pretty Woman’ actress is “fascinated” by five-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and almost three-year-old Henry – her kids with husband Danny Moder – and particularly enjoys watching them in the mornings.
She explained: “They are really angelic and wondrous. It’s so heavenly and kind and dear just to have that. “The chaos that goes on in our house and then the quietude that goes on… My favourite thing is just watching them wake up and watching them realise the day come upon them. It’s just, I don’t know, it’s fascinating to me.” The 42-year-old star thinks being a mother has made her appreciate the “excitement” of everyday things.
She explained to Oprah Winfrey: “That’s the thing about being new to the world, you’re just so present and impressed with everything . the older you get and the grumpier you get. It’s like, we’ve got to get there. We’re going to be late. You know, they’re in the car, ‘Look at the tree!’ Everything is exciting.”
Julia has also taken up a new hobby – sewing. She said: “This is my new skill to keep my brain firm. I made some big pillows for the kids and some really simple pants for Danny.”
And on her husband Danny Moder, “I sort of worship my husband,” Roberts tells Winfrey. “He takes my breath away.”
So looks like the Pretty Woman got her prince after all…
