Madonna’s parenting tips
Madonna has spoken out about her child rearing techniques for 9-year-old Lourdes and 5-year-old Rocco. Apparently she wears the pants in the family. “I’m the disciplinarian,” she told Newsweek. Her film director husband Guy Richie is very much the softer touch. “When Daddy gets home, they get chocolate.” She has figured out one way to deal with messy children. When Lourdes leaves her clothes on the ground, “We take all of her clothes and put them in a bag, and she has to earn all of her clothes back by being tidy. … She wears the same outfit every day to school until she learns her lesson.” Sounds like a plan!
Mena the braniac
American Beauty actress Mena Suvari is considering throwing in the towel and quitting acting all together. “I just fell into acting. I don’t have a strong desire to be an actress my whole life – it’s just not fulfilling enough for me. No offence to those in the business, that’s just me.” She said she?s interested in continuing her studies, and hopes one day might go to college. “If I hadn’t got into modelling, I probably would have studied psychology and might be working on a PHD right now. But it’s not too late to go back to school. I’ve met people in their 50s who just got their degrees. I’ll see how the acting goes.”
Mary-Kate Olsen dropping out of uni
Mary-Kate Olsen is doing the opposite, and is planning on taking a break from her studies in favour of getting into full time work. Apparently she is hoping to devote more time on the production company she owns with twin sister Ashley. A rep says: “Mary-Kate Olsen has taken an approved leave of absence from New York University to focus on her increasing responsibilities as Co-President of Dualstar Entertainment Group and to pursue personal interests.”
