Malaysian Spicy Beef

This delicious recipe is thanks to the fantastic Cherating restaurant in Kew East, Victoria. Impress your friends with this tasty spicy beef recipe.

Serves 2


?250g of beef or lamb (topside)

?1 tsp Garam Masala spice

?1 small onion, finely chopped or blended?

1 tsp corn flour?

2 tsp of ginger juice?

1/2 tsp sugar?

1/4 tsp of pepper

1 tsp salt?

1 egg, lightly beaten?


Combine Garam Masala, corn flour, ginger juice, sugar, salt and pepper together in a bowl, add egg?.

Cut meat into medium (3cm thick) slices and marinate in the spice mixture?. Refrigerate for an hour – or for best results, overnight?.

Saute onion in a tablespoon of olive oil until just softened, then panfry meat until cooked to your liking?.

Serve with coleslaw and sweet chilli dipping sauce.
