McGrath Foundation Breast Cancer Candle

September 3, 2009

Looking for a nice gift for someone? How about a McGrath Foundation soy wax candle that will put a smile on more than one person’s face?

We love promoting feel-good things here at SheSaid and you don’t get a more worthwhile cause than the McGrath Foundation.

The McGrath Foundation was set up by Jane and Glenn McGrath and it aims to raise money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses across rural and regional Australia as well as increasing breast awareness in young women.

With Breast Cancer Awareness month coming up (October) we thought we’d get in early and let you know about a great gift idea the McGrath Foundation are promoting. Ecoya has proudly created a luxurious Gardenia fragranced soy wax candle exclusively for the Foundation.

Ecoya is an Australian made eco-friendly candle range combining indulgent,
inspiring and uplifting fragrances with contemporary style. Completely
biodegradable, Ecoya candles are made from natural soy waxes, rather than
paraffin produced by the petroleum industry, use wicks made from 100 per cent pure cotton (lead free) and perfumes drawn from fragrance oils. Ecoya soy wax candles burn for a third longer than paraffin and produce 90 per cent less carbon soot into the atmosphere. Talk about au naturale!

The Everyday Tin $24.95 will be available from September 2009 and for each Everyday Tin candle purchased, Ecoya will donate $2 to the McGrath Foundation. The candles can be purchased from Shop Pink at and participating Ecoya stockists nationally (log onto and click through to the McGrath Foundation link for stockists).
