Watch Megyn Kelly Shut Down Newt Gingrich As He Bullies Her On Live TV
“I’m not fascinated by sex, but I am fascinated by the protection of women.”
When former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich came on Megyn Kelly’s Fox News show, The Kelly File, this week and accused her of being “fascinated by sex” and not caring about public policy, she wasn’t having it.
On the show, which aired live, Gingrich asserted that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will win the presidency, despite the fact that he’s behind in virtually every poll that’s come out in the last month. When Kelly brought up the numerous sexual assault allegations against Trump, Gingrich began to melt down, saying he was “sick and tired of people like you using language that’s inflammatory and not true.”
When Kelly pointed out that Gingrich has no idea whether the allegations are true or not, he went on the attack, accusing her – along with the rest of the media – of giving too much airtime to the scandal. “You are fascinated with sex, and you don’t care about public policy. That’s what I get out of watching you tonight,” he fumed.
“You know what Mr Speaker, I’m not fascinated by sex, but I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we’re getting in the Oval Office,” Kelly answered.
Gingrich responded that if Kelly is “worried about sexual predators,” she should be concerned about Hillary Clinton’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, returning to the White House. “Do you wanna comment on whether the Clinton ticket has a relationship to a sexual predator?”
When Kelly answered that her show had indeed covered the Clinton story, Gingrich interrupted and continued speaking over her as she repeatedly said “Excuse me, sir.”
“I wanna hear you use the words, Bill Clinton sexual predator. I dare you. Say Bill Clinton, sexual predator. Try saying it,” leered Gingrich, smiling condescendingly into the camera.
Kelly reminded Gingrich that Bill Clinton is not on the ticket, and said that according to polls, “the American public is less interested in the deeds of Hillary Clinton’s husband than they are in the deeds of the man who asks us to make him president, Donald Trump.”
She then cut the interview short, telling Gingrich, “you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them.”
“You too,” he mumbled as the camera cut away.
