White knuckles, screaming, anxiety – no, this isn’t horror movie. These are men’s reactions to women driving.

A poll undertaken by has showen that one in three British men are petrified of women driving, claiming they are much better drivers than the women in their lives.

One in five even said they were “never able to relax when their other half is driving,” a spokesman from OnePoll said. One in 10 men have asked their wife to pull over so they can take the wheel.

He added: “(Men) believe they concentrate a lot better, read road situations more quickly and clearly and have better reactions.”
Men said their biggest complaint was women being too easily distracted by children, scenery or other drivers.

But he conceded that men overall aren’t better drivers. “It is probably more a case that men just think they are safer drivers.”
