It’s Complicated

Two-time Academy Award® winner Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin star in this hilarious look at marriage, divorce and everything in between. Jane (Streep) has three grown kids, a thriving Santa Barbara bakery and an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, Jake (Baldwin). Now, a decade after their divorce, an innocent dinner between Jane and Jake turns into the unimaginable – an affair.

Caught in the middle of their rekindled romance are Jake’s young wife and Adam (Martin), a recently divorced architect who starts to fall for Jane. Could love be sweeter the second time around? It’s… complicated! From writer/director Nancy Meyers comes the comedy that critics call “laugh-out-loud funny”.

Shesaid Says:

Don’t you love a Nancy Meyers movie? She always has really strong women with great wardrobes, that dress immaculately and have gorgeous houses all of their own, which makes you want to grow up to be just like these sensational women. Remember “Somethings Gotta Give”? Well this is just as good. Merryl Streep is absolutely brilliant in this movie and Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are perfectly cast as x-husband and new boyfriend respectively.

The kids are all fantastic young actors who must have loved the experience to work with such amazing actors like Streep, Martin and Baldwin. Not necessarily a great date movie but definitely one to see with your sisters, girlfriends, and even your mum!
