Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics
I have the world’s most sensitive skin. Apart from a spot of Bobbi Brown concealer, I don’t wear anything on my skin because as soon as I try a new foundation I want to scratch my face off. Or in the odd chance that it doesn’t irritate me, I’ve never found a foundation that feels comfortable on or looks natural on my skin – I can always feel it and see it (usually accentuating my lines, not good). Believe me, as an Editor, I’ve tried everything.
So trust me when I shout from the rooftops about Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics range of foundations. This is holy grail stuff.
First, the Liquid Mineral Foundation is enriched with ocean minerals and you know how good your skin looks after a swim at the beach? Same thing here. It’s a lightweight formula but provides exactly the level of coverage you need. Beautiful from-within glow.
Next, the Loose Mineral Foundation is now the one product I can’t live without. It’s a light-as-air crushed mineral powder that’s free of talc and fragrance so skin can breath. One tap is all you need: in fact less is more. You’ll be amazed how far a tiny amount goes, and you can always build up, say on problem areas. It’s so versatile: mix it in with a dab of moisturiser for instand tinted moisturiser. No oily break outs all day, just a luminous glow.
To finish, there’s two miracle products you can use alone, or in combination with the liquid or mineral foundation. The Mineral Rice Setting Powder sets your makeup look, diminishes pores and keeps you matte all day. It’s also great for muting a heavy hand with eyeshadow or blush.
Now that it’s warming up, I keep another favourite product in my handbag, the addictive-smelling spritzes called Mineral In The Mist (don’t you love the name!). A choice of three scents to restore, refresh or recharge, I mist my face to perk up and destress at lunch, or before heading out at night to brighten up. I love spritzing over shoulders and arms (you’ll know what I mean when you’re stuck in traffic or public transport). My favourite scent is the Citrus, Grapefruit, Lime and Rosemary).
