10 Benefits of Quitting Smoking

October 7, 2003

Looking for some inspiration to finally kick butt? If you’re young, fabulous, you smoke and you hate it then read on…

There’s nothing worse than when someone tells you to stop doing something, right? In fact, it’s human nature to do whatever it is that you’ve been told not to do twice as much as you did before. That’s why if you’re a smoker but you want to give up then you need to decide why you want to quit. Here are some benefits you’ll experience as a non-smoker to get you thinking?

BENEFIT 1: You’ll have a glowing complexion, clearer eyes plus will get rid of tar stains on your fingers and teeth.

BENEFIT 2: You’ll have better taste buds – will be able to really enjoy a crisp Chardonnay, delicious mangos and lets face it – you’ll also be much more kissable with lovely fresh breath.

BENEFIT 3: You’ll save a massive wad of cash. If you smoke a pack a day you’ll save roughly $4,000 a year. That’s enough for a new designer wardrobe or a fun-filled overseas holiday every year for the rest of your life.

BENEFIT 4: It’ll be one of the best things you’ll ever do for your looks. Most smokers get heaps of unattractive wrinkles around their eyes and mouths plus their skin develops a decidedly ‘grey’ pallor. Smoking also damages the skin’s elastic fibres and causes it to sag – which let’s fact it, isn’t terribly attractive.

BENEFIT 5: You could increase you chances of finding Mr Right. Many non-smoking men (and reformed male smokers) find smoking a complete turn-off. If you’re single you could be unwittingly ruining your chances of finding your perfect guy as over 70 percent of men don’t smoke.
