Oscars Fever

Cate Blanchett
The SheSaid favourite definitely has to be our Cate Blanchett. Not only did she look amazing in her specially designed pale lemon gown by Valentino Couture, but she did us all proud by winning Best Supporting Actress for her brilliant work as Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator. Her speech was graceful and refined, resembling perfectly the stylish Cate we know and love. She did make us laugh at the end when proclaimed “Thank you to Martin Scorcese. I hope my son will marry your daughter.” Gosh, wouldn?t they create talented offspring!

Halle Berry
Wow this woman has amazing taste. She was wearing a gorgeous iridescent chiffon asymmetrical gown with vintage embroidered skirt by Versace. She looked stunning with her beautifully proportioned curves and flowing gown. Only days before she turned up at the annual Razzie Awards to accept her prize for Worst Actress. Halle said: “I want to thank Warner Brothers for casting me in this piece of s**t.” She brought her agent and co-stars up on the stage and said: “I’d like to thank the rest of the cast – to give a really bad performance like mine you need to have really bad actors.” Parodying her 2002 Oscar acceptance speech, she added, “Oh gosh, I never in my life thought I’d be here winning a Razzie. They can’t take this away from me.” It is rare for stars to attend the Razzie awards, but Halle agreed to attend, as her mother always told her “If you aren’t able to be a good loser you’re not able to be a good winner.”

Other honourable mentions…
Natalie Portman missed out to Cate Blanchett in the Best Supporting Actress category but definitely won in the fashion stakes. She looked simply stunning in her elegant Lanvin Oscar gown proving once and for all, the 23-year-old is all grown up!
Penelope Cruz in a fabulous Oscar de la Renta yellow silk taffeta strapless gown, with a Daniel Swarovski handbag and Chopard jewels.
Kirsten Dunst in a gorgeous black lace Chanel Couture gown.
Julia Roberts wore a simple but gorgeous black dress and showed off her post baby curves.
Sandra Oh star of Sideways in Michael Kors. She accessorized her gown with a Daniel Swarovski “Silver Power” handbag.
