Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead of Drug Overdose

February 3, 2014

Shocking celebrity news this morning: Philip Seymour Hoffman has died aged 46 from a suspected drug overdose.

The Oscar winner was found dead inside his NYC apartment just hours ago around Sunday morning 11.30am local time, apparently with a hypodermic needle in his arm.

He was discovered inside his Greenwhich Village home by a friend who was concerned after not being able to reach him.

In May, the actor entered rehab for heroin addiction.

Hoffman leaves behind longtime girlfriend, costume designer Mimi O’Donnell, and their three children: daughters Tallulah and Willa and son Cooper.
