SheSaid Loving Right Now

February 24, 2012

This week we’re loving a limited edition eyeshadow palette that will replace half your makeup bag, plus an eye gel that really works and a cult skincare cream that’s amazing on sensitive skin.

Planet Eve Organics Super 5 Eye Firming Gel, $55.

I’ve tried every eye gel under the sun, and only found one or two that really work. This is one of them. After using it for a week, I noticed the puffiness I always have in the mornings has decreased, and my eyes look refreshed throughout the day. And no wonder, as it contains 5 natural active ingredients: acai, acacia, gingko biloba, aloe vera and rose. And as a huge fan of organic skincare, this is worth paying a few extra dollars for. Plus I love the roller ball packaging – I don’t need to stick my fingers in a tiny jar, which is not very hygienic!

Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Ultra Nude Eye Palette, $99.

Now, I love neon, but I can’t really wear it. So I love Bobbi Brown’s latest collection, which is a tribute to neon and nudes and how wearable they are together. This eye palette is the only eyeshadow set you’ll ever need, with six classic shades that are flattering on everyone.

For a clean, polished look for day, sweep the matte shadow over the lid, adding a little interest in the crease with one of the shimmer shadows. For night, layer the shadows, creating a sexy smokey eye with the chocolate brown shade. Then, if you’re brave, pair it with one of the neon lipsticks or glosses. But quick, the palette is limited edition.

Alex Cosmetic Organics BB Cream, $79.80.
Every now and again a product comes along that gets me really excited. This is one of them. Alex Cosmetic BB Cream is a bit of a cult product since it hit the market in the 1950’s when it was called Blemish Balm. The zinc-based formula reduces blemishes, acne and even cold sores, and is amazing on sensitive skin. Even if you have great skin, BB Cream keeps your skin radiant and hydrated. It also contains natural sun protection, which unlike most sunscreens, is free of chemicals than can irritate the skin.

I tried the Organics BB Cream which worked wonders on my sensitive skin. It had a light tint so you can ditch your tinted moisturiser, just dot on a little concealer and you have beautiful, airbrushed skin.
