MAC Peacocky Collection
I admit, I get super excited every time MAC announce a new collection (and I have another exciting launch to tell you about next week) but I’m all a-flutter over Peacocky, their latest range which is ultra feminine and packed with exotic and beautiful colours.
Two standout products that I have to tell you about from this range: the super smooth Mega Metal Eyeshadow in Prance, above, $43, which are more than twice as big as MAC’s other eyeshadows, so you’ll literally never run out. Which is a good thing, because this taupe-mauve shade is a workhorse of a colour. A light sweep over your lid is perfect for day, or build up into the crease for a smouldering smokey eye. My tip? Dab a fine eyeliner brush in water before sweeping over the shadow and line the lower lashes for a softer look than eyeliner pencil. It will make all eye colours pop, especially green and hazel. It lasts all day too. Amazing.
The other product I’m in love with from this collection is the Kissable Lipcolour in Woo Me, above, $42. Thank you MAC for coming up with the ultimate milky pink nude in the most perfect texture: silky smooth, with a medium coverage (light a light lipstick) with the not-too-shiny finish of a gloss. It’s got Brigitte Bardot sex appeal.

Dr Lewinn’s Synergise Range
I’ve loved Dr Lewinn’s skincare for years so was thrilled to attend the launch of their latest range Synergise, sold exclusively at Coles with prices starting at $14.95.
The range is packed with super advanced plant stem cell technology which you’d expect to find in much more expensive skincare lines. Swiss Apple is one of the hero anti-ageing ingredients while pomegranate, green tea and acai berry provide the rejuvenating benefits of antioxidants. Other amazing ingredients include anti-ageing super peptides Matrixyl 3000 and Regu Age which are renowned for the their strong anti-wrinkle effect and ability to reduce puffiness and dark circles.
What I really love is that the 11 products in the range include everything a busy woman needs and nothing she doesn’t – and it’s all so affordable. My favourite products are the Facial Scrub, $19.95, with its invigorating beads to slough away dead skin cells (you won’t believe how bright your complexion is after using this for a few days), the Tinted Moisturiser, $39.95, with SPF 30+ which has a non-greasy formula and just enough of a matte coverage to leave you feeling polished, and the Night Cream, $39.95, which is not as heavy and thick as most overnight creams, but is just as nourishing as you’d expect.

On Valentine’s Day last week my day of romance started off in a very sexy boudoir – but it had nothing to do with my fiance. The lovely ladies of Booty Parlor and Pash Parties introduced me to the range of sensual beauty products and bedroom treats that are a fave with celebs like Blake Lively, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Paris Hilton and Brooke Shields to name a few!
Sold through Victoria’s Secret in the US, Booty Parlor has just landed in Oz (and let me tell you, some products are already sold out). The range is feminine and empowering without any tackiness; in fact the packaging looks very expensive and the formulas are top-notch.
I tried all the products and can report back that the Flirty Little Secret Pink Caviar Scrub with pheromones, $39.95, is divine, from the raspberry-lemon sorbet scent to the can’t-stop-touching skin it leaves you with. I also loved the Don’t Stop Massage Candle, $59.95 – a candle that not only sets the scene but safe to pour over your lover (the wax is only a few degrees warmer than body temperature) and the Dust Up Kissable Body Shimmer, $29.95 – just use the luxurious puff to dust across shoulder, between your cleavage and other sexy spots where you want to be kissed. Gorgeous for a night out.
So even though Valentine’s Day is over for another year, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt from SheSaid readers is that we should all try and be romantic all year round.
