Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been nominated for a swag of awards. Tom was shortlisted for the Worst Actor Razzie for his role in War of the Worlds and Katie was nominated for her supporting role in Batman Begins. The Worst Picture category is also competitive: what’s the worst between House of Wax, Dukes of Hazzard, Son of the Mask, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalow and Dirty Love? Other stars who have been nominated include Will Ferrell for his role in Bewitched, Jessica Alba for Fantastic Four and Into the Blue and Jennifer Lopez for Monster In Law. Halle Berry actually attended the awards last year and graciously accepted her Worst Actress Razzie for her role in Wonder Woman, so let’s hope one of these stars realise their foibles and turn up! The new category for the awards is the Most Tiresome Tabloid Targets category. Nominees include ‘Tom and Katie: Oprah Winfrey’s Couch, The Eiffel Tower & “Tom’s Baby”, Tom Cruise: Anti-Psychiatry Rant, Paris Hilton and Whoever?, Mr & Mrs Britney, their baby and their camcorder and The Simpsons: Ashlee, Jessica and Nick. Tough competition. Who do you think will win?
Katie’s baby fears
As the big day approaches, it has been revealed that Katie Holmes is getting more and more anxious about the birth of her first child. She is roughly seven months pregnant, but the young actress is afraid she?ll give birth to a premature baby, like her mum did. One friend said: “Katie’s mom went into labour with her almost two months early. Katie was only four pounds at birth and it was touch-and-go for several days before doctors determined that she was going to make it. She seems desperately afraid that the same thing could happen to her!”
Sienna in the arms of co-star
Sienna Miller is reportedly seeking consolation after her break-up with Jude Law with her Factory Girl co-star Hayden Christensen. Apparently the pair have been getting closer during filming and their attraction for each other became obvious at the recent cast party in Louisiana. According to one witness, there was an impromptu Karaoke session and the pair were singing to each other: “The party was just getting going when someone brought out the restaurants karaoke player – Sienna was on it in a flash. She started jokily serenading Hayden before begging him to join her on stage – and it wasn’t long before he complied. They’d had a fair few drinks by this time and their flirting was obvious to everyone.” According to others, their mutual attraction has been obvious for some time: “Everybody has been talking about it for a while and after the cast party they were acting like more than good friends.? Meanwhile, it seems she didn’t impress another of her co-stars. Jeremy Irons starred with her in new release Casanova and said Sienna?s acting performance isn?t particularly impressive. “It doesn’t bear much examination,” he said. “Sweet, but inexperienced.” Wow, what a way to promote a movie, Jeremy!
Miranda Kerr’s parents have revealed they haven’t seen their famous daughter in over a year.
In Tuesday’s docudrama Family Confidential on the ABC, Kerr’s mum Therese, father John, brother Matthew and grandmother Ann admitted they are now estranged from Kerr, and appealed for the supermodel to come back to Australia and visit with her son Flynn.
John reveals it was Orlando Bloom, not Miranda, that called him to tell him they were ending their three-year marriage.
“I remember him saying “we’re always going to be family” and that’s how we’ll treat Orlando, Miranda and Flynn. We’re all family.”
Her father says that he now wished his daughter had married a “nobody”, someone who was completely out of the limelight.
“After what I know now I would rather she did just marry a nobody because you really can’t get that family time by yourself,” he says. “I just hope Flynn grows up and he wants to be with his nan and pop.”
Kerr, 30, was especially close with Therese, who was CEO and general manager of her skincare line Kora Organics, but was asked to step down last February, and grandmother, posting a photo of the three of them in bed in December on her Instagram page.
“I miss the baby and I think he’s missing out on family, that closeness that we have always had,” said Ann.
“It’s very nice where they are but nothing like Australia, nothing, and I think hopefully Flynn might end up here. We just keep our fingers crossed.”
Therese speaks emotionally about having to “let go” of her daughter, and that she sends her text messages of love and support, which are not always reciprocated.
“What I have had to do is let go and allow her to be assertive and lead her own life and I guess for any mum that’s a little bit challenging sometimes to do that.”
“Miranda’s life is so different now (and) she’s surrounded by yes people all the time,” explained Therese.
John adds: “I wish she was just a normal, everyday girl, I really do.”
Kerr’s rep says she wasn’t able to be part of the show because of
Sarah Jessica Parker says the secret to a happy marriage is very simple – just don’t talk about it.
She and Matthew Broderick, 51, have been married for 16 years and have three children – James Wilkie, 11, and twin daughters Tabitha and Loretta, four.
“The secret is, we don’t discuss it. To reporters or anybody else. That’s it!” Parker, 48, told The Huffington Post. “We don’t hold it up as an example and we don’t air our dirty laundry.”
Her relationship advice about staying away from celebrity gossip comes at the start of a busy year for Parker, who just launched a Hallmark greeting card collection, will soon debut her first shoe line, and will appear on stage with Blythe Danner in fellow actress Amanda Peet’s off-Broadway play The Commons of Pensacola.
Parker also raved about her children and how creative they are.
“My daughters write thank you notes, and they’re just learning to read and be able to spell.
“They’re all preternaturally gifted artists — they probably spend 80 percent of their free time drawing. Every morning before breakfast, we have to drag them away from drawing and painting, even my son. They’re far more gifted than I ever was.”
Exciting celebrity baby news: it’ll be another boy for Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale!
The 44-year-old singer announced today – in true celebrity style, on Instagram – that she is expecting her third son.
“I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys” she captioned an adorable photo of herself wearing a crown and flannel shirt.
The couple, who have been married since 2002, have two sons, Kingston James McGregor, seven, and Zuma Nesta Rock, five.
Rossdale, 48, also has a daughter, model Daisy Lowe, 24, from a previous relationship.
Her due date is still a secret, only confirming her pregnancy in October 2013.
We bet their third son is going to be a real cutie, just like his older brothers!
Beyoncé is using her celebrity status to bring equal pay for women to the world’s attention.
The 32-year-old singer has penned an essay called “Gender Quality Is a Myth!” for The Shriver Report, an initiative led by Maria Shriver, which aims to discuss social trends that impact women.
“We need to stop buying into the myth about gender equality. It isn’t a reality yet,” she writes in the essay, which is included in a special report, “A Woman’s Nation Pushes Back From The Brink.”
“Today, women make up half of the U.S. workforce, but the average working woman earns only 77 percent of what the average working man makes. But unless women and men both say this is unacceptable, things will not change.
“We have to teach our boys the rules of equality and respect, so that as they grow up, gender equality becomes a natural way of life. And we have to teach our girls that they can reach as high as humanly possible.”
The singer, writing under her full name, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, urges men to join their wives, daughters, mothers and sisters in demanding equal pay for equal work.
Other celebrities to add their voice to the project include Eva Longoria, whose essay “Empowering Latinas pushes for educational opportunities for Latina women.
Jennifer Garner contributed “Turning Poverty Around: Training Parents to Help Their Kids”, while Jada Pinkett Smith wrote the essay “Human Trafficking and Slavery in the United States: ‘You Don’t See the Chains.'”

Miranda Kerr has opened up about one of this year’s biggest celebrity gossip news stories: her split from husband Orlando Bloom.
“It’s difficult for anyone to go through a separation, whether it’s on a public scale or not,” she says in an interview in the latest Harper’s Bazaar Australia.
“It was important for us long-term to preserve our friendship and the dynamic of being loving parents to Flynn so we dealt with everything openly and honestly.
“We respect each other and with respect comes understanding. When there’s understanding, I guess everything is a little more harmonious,” she tells the magazine.
“We’re still very big parts of each other’s lives. There’s no reason for us to be anything but a united front. We still love and care for each other deeply.”
The 30-year-old supermodel revealed she won’t be making it to Australia this Christmas, choosing to stay in New York and look after son Flynn while Bloom stars in Romeo and Juliet six nights a week on Broadway.
“And it’s not fair to take Flynn and go without him. We’re trying to do our best to support each other.”
Since announcing their split in October, Kerr and Bloom have been photographed together a number of times, looking friendly and relaxed with each other.
“Flynn is the most important thing in both our lives. And because we share that bond, we both feel it’s important to be united.”

Beyoncé and Jay Z have decided to go vegan for the 22 days leading up to Christmas.
The couple started the diet challenge this week, inspired by a vegan friend.
“On December 3, one day before my 44th birthday, I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!” Jay Z wrote on his Life + Times website.
“This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ‘plant-based breakfast’ every day. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought.”
Beyoncé posted a photo of day one of their vegan challenge on Instagram, which included:
Breakfast: Vanilla chia pudding with berries
Lunch: Red cabbage and green apple sesame slaw with 1 cup steamed, cubed sweet potato
Afternoon snack: 1/4 cup hemp hummus with fresh vegetables
Dinner: Black bean and quinoa salad with cumin dressing
Dessert: Dark chocolate
“There’s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day,” Jay Z continued.
And why 22 days? “Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way,” wrote Jay Z.
Their vegan friend Marc Borges is founder of the 22 Days nutrition program, whose aim is to promote “optimum wellness through conscious nutrition.”
Could you go vegan for 22 days?
Nigella Lawson has admitted to using cocaine and cannabis in a London court today in the fraud case against her two former personal assistants, but denies being a habitual drug user.
The domestic goddess, 53, testified that she had used cocaine “a handful of times”, revealing that she had used it when her late husband John Diamond was terminally ill with cancer.
She also confirmed she used it in 2010 while she was “subjected to intimate terrorism” by her now ex-husband Charles Saatchi.
The TV chef also admitted to smoking cannabis, including times in front of her children.
“The idea that I’m a drug addict or a habitual user of cocaine is absolutely ridiculous,” she said in court. “People who do that are a lot thinner than I am.”
The revelation came just a week after Saatchi claimed Lawson used cocaine, class B drugs and prescription drugs for more than a decade, which their former assistants used against the couple in order to defraud them of over $532,000 worth of designer goods, luxury hotels and first-class flights.
Lawson added: “I have to say, since freeing myself from a brilliant but brutal man, I’m now totally cannabis-, cocaine-, any drug-free.”
She also discussed the throat-grabbing incident in June which prompted their divorce. Lawson claims that she commented on how much she looked forward to having grandchildren, and in response, Saatchi grabbed her and said “I am the only person you should be concerned with. I am the only person that should give you pleasure.”
The trial continues on Thursday.
Miranda Kerr is Australia’s top searched celebrity of the year, according to search engine Bing.
The 30-year-old supermodel has taken the title for the third year running, largely due to her shock split from husband Orlando Bloom with pictures of them looking cosy in New York the same week all over celebrity gossip news websites and magazines.
Meanwhile the number one searched for person on Bing in Australia this year was Miley Cyrus, thanks to her infamous twerking with Robin Thicke at the VMAs. And twerking was so big that it was one of the most searched words of the year. It even made the Oxford Dictionary. Do you think we’ll still be talking about twerking this time next year?
The most ‘Binged’ news story of 2013 comes from the UK thanks to the birth of baby George, the heir to the throne, while the Boston bombings, NSW fires and more of Miley’s twerking kept us searching.
We were clicking-mad for Big Brother as the most searched TV show in Australia, with Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The X-Factor and The Voice all making the top 5.
Two years after separating, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are finally divorced.
Moore, 51, and Kutcher, 35, were married in 2005 and called it quits in November 2011 over allegations Kutcher cheated.
However it was Kutcher that filed for divorce in December 2012. So why did it take so long to officially end the marriage?
The two spent months fighting over how to divide their estimated fortune of more than $US300 million ($330,000).
Moore also wanted spousal support, despite being worth more than Kutcher.
The agreement was finally reached after Kutcher gave Moore more than he had to, according to TMZ.
Kutcher has been dating That 70’s Show co-star Mila Kunis, 30, since April 2012.

The actress, who shot to fame in Party of Five, recently lost her own mother to cancer.
“I’ve always wanted to be a mum,” she said. “I had a great relationship with mine. I’m ready to pass on to my child all the great love that my mom had for me.”
The couple also decided to keep the baby’s sex a surprise.
“You sort of have these pictures in your mind of what [the baby’s going to look like],” she said in July. “I’m really excited to see what he or she is going to look like!”
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Lea Michele has opened up about how Kate Hudson helped her through her most difficult time following boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death.
“I called her and said, I don’t know where I’m going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters],” Lea reveals in the December issue of Elle. “She was like, ‘Oh, you’re going to stay at my house.’ Like it was nothing.”
Hudson, 34, also opened up her L.A. home to Michele’s family and friends.
“She let my family stay there, and any of my friends. She made sure that in the refrigerator were my favourite juices,’ Michele, 27 said. “I’ll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me.”
The celebrity friends met in 2012 when Hudson guest starred on Glee playing Michele’s character Rachel Berry’s dance instructor.
Monteith, 31, died in July from an overdose caused by heroin and alcohol. The couple has been dating from the beginning of the show in 2009 although only went public with their relationship in 2012.
The actress revealed how she was moving forward with her life following his death.
“Now that I’m in this position, you can choose to rise, which is what I’m going to try to do.
“It’s very hard and you have to be very strong to come out of this alive, but I think by doing the best for myself, by showing that you don’t have to lose yourself, maybe someone else will feel some sort of strength or comfort.”
She says she takes comfort in carrying on with her life as Monteith would have wanted. “I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people,’ she said. ‘I don’t know if I will. I don’t know how.”
Michelle Pfeiffer has revealed she used to be part of a cult which believed in breatharianism: the ability to live without food or water and survive only on sunlight.
“They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian,” she shares in an interview with the U.K.’s The Telegraph, and that she was made to follow a diet “nobody can adhere to.”
Pfeiffer, 55, left home at 20 to move to L.A. and met a “very controlling” couple when she was getting her break in Hollywood.
“I wasn’t living with them but I was there a lot and they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining.”
She only realised she was in a cult when her first husband, actor Peter Horton, was cast in a film about the Moonies.
“We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation and I just clicked,” she said. “I was in one.”
The actress, who will next appear in The Family, is still a strict vegan and credits her diet for her youthful looks, denying she was had any plastic surgery or Botox, but admits she will ““never say never”.
It’s a big week for celebrity news, maternity-wise – last week Kerry Washington and Olivia Wilde announced they were pregnant, today, Drew Barrymore is also expecting!
Barrymore, 38, and husband Will Kopelman, 35, confirmed they are expecting their second child via her rep.
She also showed signs of a baby bump at the LACMA Art+FIlm Gala in L.A. on Saturday.
The actress has spoken about her plans to grow the family and have a sibling for their daughter Olive, 13 months.
“I was an only child, and it was lonely,” she told the September issue of InStyle.
“Some people love it and thrive on the independence, but I want my kids to have other kids around. Maybe two kids so they can run around life together, roll their eyes at their parents together like Rusty and Audrey Griswold from National Lampoon’s Vacation. So however that’s going to come about, it’s gonna happen!”
Barrymore also revealed she’s happy she waited till she was older to have children: “I’m glad I lived such a full life before I settled down into a family because I got to enjoy it and get it out of my system.”
Orlando Bloom has spoken about his shock split from Miranda Kerr, admitting that “life sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as we plan or hope for.”
In an interview with Katie Couric filmed today, Bloom said: “We love each other. We’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives.
“There’s no question that for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”
Bloom, 36, and Kerr, 30, have recently been spotted in New York looking very relaxed and happy just days after announcing their split on October 25th.
“Life sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as we plan or hope for,” The Hobbit star added. “But we’re adults, I’m 36 and now she’s 30. We’re professionals. We love and care about each other. Most of all, we love our son.”

Kim Kardashian says her sexy selfie which made celebrity news headlines in October was “my big middle finger to the world” to the haters in response to all the criticism of her baby weight gain.
Appearing on the Jay Leno Tonight Show last night in a see-through white lace dress with contrasting black lingerie underneath, Kardashian said: “I was trying on a bathing suit, and I actually just sent that to my boyfriend, my fiancé, and I was like, ‘Babe, can I post this up? This is my big, like, middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat.'”
The reality TV star says she’s been out of the celebrity gossip spotlight since giving birth because of all the negative attention on her weight.
“It really hurt my soul,” she revealed. “I was gaining weight because I was pregnant, and it was just really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things…Why would I subject myself to so much negativity, especially now that I have a daughter?…I’ve definitely tried to live more of a private life because of that.”
Kardashian, 33, also revealed she’s achieved her baby weight loss goal of dropping 22kg, which she merits the Atkins Diet and exercise with helping.
“At the beginning I couldn’t exercise a whole lot,” she said, “but then I just started going on hikes with different family members, with my boyfriend, with anyone that would go on hikes with me…and it worked.”
She also gave hints about her upcoming nuptials, saying she and fiancé Kanye West could marry next summer in Paris or Italy but that she plans to let West to “do whatever” he wants.

The two actors got engaged in January and are said to wed in New York City next autumn.
Congratulations to Kerry and Olivia!
Kate Bosworth has tied the knot with film director Michael Polish in an intimate ceremony in Montana.
The couple married in front of a small group of family and friends at The Ranch at Rock Creek. Guests were given Polaroid cameras and asked to post pictures on a board that said ‘Love is…’ in the lodge (love this idea!). Just recently Bosworth kept details of the nuptials to a minimum, except to reveal the wedding is “not the norm and whisky will be involved.”
The Superman Returns actress, 30, met Polish, 42, when he directed her in the 2011 movie Big Sur. He proposed to her a year later during a trip to South Korea.
“I never even dated my husband-to-be,” Bosworth told the September issue of InStyle UK. “He said to me after just a few weeks before we were even together, ‘I’m going to marry you.’ He just knew.”
Bosworth previously dated actors Alexander Skarsgard and Orlando Bloom. This is the second marriage for Polish, who has a teenage daughter, Jasper, with make-up artist Jo Strettell. They divorced in 2004.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have separated after 13 years of marriage.
The couple have confirmed they are taking some time apart to “evaluate and work on marriage,” their rep said in a statement today.
Douglas, 68, is currently holidaying in Sardinia, while Zeta-Jones, 43, is in New York with their two children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.
The pair have not been seen publicly together since April when they appeared on the red carpet at the 40th Annual Chaplin Award Gala in New York.
It’s been a tough few years for the couple, with Douglas battling throat cancer (implying that he got it from oral sex) and Zeta-Jones seeking treatment for bi-polar disorder, most recently in April.
Leah Remini has spoken out about splitting from the church of Scientology, saying “no one is going to tell me how I need to think.”
The former King of Queens actress, 43, had been a Scientologist for more than 30 years, and was one of its most vocal celebrity supporters.
But earlier this month, she quit the religion over rumours she had questioned church leader David Miscavige and as a result had to go through intensive personal questioning.
“I believe that people should be able to question things,” Remini told PEOPLE on Saturday at an event in Malibu, California. “I believe that people should value family, and value friendships, and hold those things sacrosanct. That for me, that’s what I’m about. It wouldn’t matter what it was, simply because no one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to.”
Jenna Miscavige Hill, the niece of church leader David, who herself left the church in 2005, expressed her support for Remini earlier this month.
“From what I understand, she was just fed up with the way she was being treated when she was following church policy,” said Miscavige Hill. “She is a tough woman and isn’t the type to yield or turn a blind eye to a blatant injustice. People like that don’t last too long in Scientology because they aren’t easy to control.”
Demi Moore opens up over her struggle with body image – revealing a weakness for French fries – but says she’s comfortable being “extremely thin.”
“I think I sit today in a place of greater acceptance of my body,” she says in the February issue of US Harper’s Bazaar, “and that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age to now experiencing my body as extremely thin – thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would be saying to me, ‘You’re too thin, and you don’t look good.'”
The 49-year-old actress shocked many late last year with her much-thinner frame, just before announcing her separation from Ashton Kutcher after rumours of his infidelity.
“I have had a love-hate relationship with my body,” she revealed. “When I’m at the greatest odds with my body, it’s usually because I feel my body’s betraying me, whether that’s been in the past, struggling with my weight and feeling that I couldn’t eat what I wanted to eat, or that I couldn’t get my body to do what I wanted it to do.”
Moore also candidly discussed her fear of not being loved, saying: “What scares me is that I’m going to ultimately find out at the end of my life that I’m really not lovable, that I’m not worthy of being love. That there’s something fundamentally wrong with me.”
