Throwback Thursday: Top Of The Crops

Novemeber 26, 2010

Considering going the crop? It’s a brave move but as these celebs prove short hair is the hot hair trend. Get inspired by our favourite Hollywood looks…

Sienna Miller

Hairdressers must love Siena because she’s always changing her hairstyles, but this super short crop was a major success. Long layers at the front and shaved at the back, this is a really versatile cut. Long sparkly earrings are playful yet elegant.

Natalie Portman

If we all looked like Natalie Portman that it really wouldn’t matter what our hair was like! The gorgeous actress braved a gamine crop but it paid off, she looks absolutely amazing. Rub a small amount of wax between the fingers and wiggle through your hair to create shiny, textured pieces for a fresh, modern look.

Victoria Beckham

Victoria has been a fan of the uber crop for a while now, but alternates between platinum blonde and chocolate browns. If you’re a fashionista then look no further than a cut like this, made even funkier with chunky highlights.

Sharon Stone

Women over 40 are often advised to cut their hair short and what better inspiration than Sharon Stone. Would she look as sexy and cool with long hair? Don’t think so. Make sure you treat the hair with a weekly hair masque or overnight serum to nourish the hair.

Alyssa Milano

The pixie cut suits Alyssa’s heart-shaped face really well. As you’re not hiding behind lots of hair make sure you play up your features, such as the eyes and brows like Alyssa’s done.

Rihanna

Super dark and glossy, with chunky layers at the front, Rihanna turns a plain bob into an edgy, fashion-forward cut.

Natalie Imbruglia

If you’re thinking of going short but scared to cut too much off, Natalie’s chin-length bob is the perfect alternative. Make sure you ask for long layers at the front which frame the face beautifully with either a side or centre part.

Which celebrity has the best crop? Are you a fan of short hair?
