Inspirational Engagement Party Ideas

Most couples barely have their ideal wedding planned out, let alone the engagement party! So if you’re finding it difficult to stick with just one solid theme, take inspiration from the following real weddings from all over the globe.

Spring

Choose this clean and refined take on springtime chic featuring pink flowers, floral chandeliers, rustic tables and acrylic chairs. Everything is kept in a consistent colour palette – even the seating charts which were adorned in white, pink, and gold accents.

If you’re more of a sentimental type of couple, choose a decoration which will represent both of your backgrounds. This is a beautiful way to merge both of your families into one, while still making your wedding very personal.

Holiday

Who doesn’t love a themed event? One of our favourites below was captured in Ireland during the festive season, and featured rich accents and decorations. Mulled wine, comfort foods and green ferns add the finishing touches to an engagement party for the colder parts of the year.

Modern

If you’re more of a modern type of girl (nothing traditional here!), incorporate some of your style into the decor. We’re thinking clean lines, brass accents and stripes for the table setting. Fresh seasonal flowers and a touch of class is the perfect way to celebrate this engagement.

Revolutionary Makeup Storage Tips

Storing makeup and skincare products in an ergonomic way doesn’t have to be difficult with a few essentials each woman should own.

You don’t need an entire bathroom or closet dedicated to your makeup, rather, a few key items which make your products that much easier to access (and tidy up). Shop some of our favourite storage solutions below, and share some of your own!

Acrylic drawers

These are fantastic if you have a few products on high rotation, and want to access them quickly. Most drawers are see-through, so you can easily see what’s inside them at all times. Store a liquid foundation, primer, lipstick, a few eyeshadows, and a blush in your bathroom for easy access.

Trays

Deep trays are perfect for storing blushes, eyeshadows, and other small products in your drawers. Rather than throwing them in and hoping for the best, it’s an easy way to de-clutter your cosmetics.

Cutlery trays are the perfect size since they fit into most drawers, and can be modified to suit almost any existing storage! Simply cut them up, and use them for your different cosmetics.

Jars

Any old mason or old candle jar is the perfect size for storing makeup brushers. They also come in handy if you need to keep a few in the bathroom, or perhaps the rest in the bedroom. You probably have one in the house already! Pop a few beads into the bottom to keep your brushes standing upright.

Lipstick bullets

Individual lipstick trays are the best way to store these precious cosmetics for the lip-product obsessed! Most cases are clear which fit into any design aesthetic, and are also light enough to move around.

Dividers

If your foundations, moisturisers, and other skincare products are too big for existing trays, use a drawer divider instead. These are great for creating personalised compartments, and keep everything looking neat and organised. Apply a rubber grip to the bottom of your drawer to keep products from slipping out of place.
