Getting older is actually the best…
We really can’t be bothered anymore.
If you haven’t got something nice to say…
Keith Urban has come out and said it: he and wife Nicole Kidman enjoy what most of us do – sexting, or “sex texting.”
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the country music star and American Idol judge was asked how he and his wife of seven years keep the romance alive.
“We just make it work,” said Urban, 45. “We never text, we never email. Phone calls only, which I really love that.”
Kidman, 46, is currently in London shooting a movie, while Urban is touring the States and busy with Idol commitments. Their two children – Sunday, five, and Faith, two – are staying in London with Kidman.
But pressed by DeGeneres about how they stay in touch, Urban admitted that they actually do send text messages.
“Maybe one text. Maybe one cool kind of, you know…yes, one of those ones with the accompanying photo. One of those kind of texts.”
And typically, the talk show host would not leave him alone. “What kind of text? What do you mean?” DeGeneres joked.
“Nice sex texting,” he admitted. “I’m a little red right now!”
First comes love, then comes marriage…or for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, it’s first comes baby, then comes engagement. West has popped the question and Kardashian has said yes!
The wedding proposal came on Monday – Kardashian’s 33rd birthday – at a party in San Francisco’s AT&T Park baseball stadium in front of family and friends which the rapper rented for the special occasion.
West, 36, presented the reality star with a 15-carat diamond ring, while ‘PLEEEASE MARRY MEEEE!!!’ flashed on the baseball scoreboard screen. Fireworks then exploded and a 50-piece orchestra played Lana Del Rey’s Young And Beautiful followed by his own song Knock You Down.
Sister Khloe tweeted out: ‘Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!’ following the event.
The couple have been dating for 18 months, and their daughter, North, is now four-months-old.
This will be the third marriage for Kardashian, whose first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas ended in 2004, and her divorce following her infamous 2011, 72-day marriage to basketball star Kris Humphries was finalised last June.

Linda Kozlowski has filed for divorce from Paul Hogan after 23 years of marriage.
The couple separated last month. Kozlowski has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for filing divorce, while a rep for the Crocodile Dundee actor says the split has been amicable.
Paul, 74, is reportedly worth $20 million, and it is expected that Linda, 55, will seek spousal support as well as joint legal and physical custody of their 15-year-old son Chance.
Paul was married twice to Noelene Hogan, first in 1958, then again in 1982, and the couple have five children together. Their second divorce in 1986 was one of Australia’s ugliest celebrity splits.
This will be Paul Hogan’s third divorce, from two wives – he married first wife Noelene, then divorced her, then remarried her. When it finally blew up permanently in 1986, the split became one of Australia’s ugliest celebrity divorces.
If you got it, flaunt it – seems to be Kim Kardashian’s motto.
At least that’s what she was thinking when she posted this revealing photo today that doesn’t leave much to the imagination!
The new mother showed off her post-baby body (and booty) on Instagram, posing in a very sexy white swimsuit with the simple caption #NoFilter.
Seems like those daily bootcamp and Pilates sessions are paying off for the 32-year-old reality TV star.
The photo certainly caught the eye of boyfriend Kanye West, who in true Hollywood style, tweeted the pic, writing “HEADING HOME NOW.”

Mischa Barton has revealed she suffered from a mental breakdown following her years on The OC.
“It was a full-on breakdown. It was terrifying, straight out of Girl, Interrupted. Story of my life,” she tells People.
After playing Marissa Cooper in the teen drama series which ended in 2006, cracks started to appear in the young actress’ life, from being arrested for drunk driving in 2007 and ordered to go to rehab, to being placed in psychiatric care in 2009.
“I was never suicidal,’ Mischa admitted. “I was just overworked and depressed. But one slip of the tongue in a heightened moment and you find yourself in that situation.”
Barton, 27, said her time in a psychiatric ward was “an eye-opener” and she was “deeply hurt” that she had been placed there, following an intervention by her family. But looking back she realises that it was for her own good.
“I accepted this was time I needed to be away from work, my family and all the pressure. I had been through the wringer,” she said.
The London-born actress started performing when she was five-years-old, getting her break in the 1999 blockbuster The Sixth Sense. Then in 2003 she landed her role in The OC.
“I was living a jet-set lifestyle,” which included partying with Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Ritchie. “We thought, work hard play hard…It was a train I couldn’t not get off of.”
Barton admits the celebrity lifestyle took its toll: “I felt like I was 35 when I was 17.”
Despite being “madly in love” with musician Cisco Adler and dating trust fund baby Brandon Davis, the actress – who now splits her time between London and Hollywood – is taking a break from dating and focusing on her career again. She’s been working on a number of movies, including Mining for Ruby with Billy Zane.
Naomi Watts has revealed how she picked up boyfriend Liev Schreiber – and it’s kind of dorky. We love it!
The adorable couple, who have been dating for eight years and have two sons – Alexander, six, and Samuel, four – were introduced in 2005 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. And as soon as she set eyes on him, she planned to pick him up.
“It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be,” the actress tells the November issue of Allure magazine. “Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn’t.
“Then he got up to say he was leaving and I was like, “Oh s***. Probably another couple years are going to pass by.” I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out.
“I said, “Don’t you want my digits?” Because I couldn’t possibly say, “Would you like my phone number?” It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, “Would you like to go for a drink now?” And I said, “No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.”
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Watts, 45, also spoke about her acting career, pointing out that she’s being offered better roles as she gets older.
“Women in their 40s have gone through quite a few different things, and so the roles are going to reflect that,” she said. “People say, “Oh, it’s done by 40,” and now everyone knows it’s not. I actually feel like the roles are a lot more interesting.”
Kylie Minogue and her boyfriend, Spanish model Andres Velencoso, have ended their five-year relationship.
The singer’s spokesperson has confirmed that the couple agreed to go their separate ways, but remain amicable. They were last seen out together dining in London in August.
Minogue, 45, started dating Velencoso, 35, in 2008 after they met filming an ad for her fragrance range.
While Minogue has been busy recording her 12th album in L.A. due out next year, as well as her new role as mentor on The Voice in London, Velencoso spends most of his time in Spain where he owns a cafe, while also trying out his hand at acting. It’s believed being away from each other so often led to the separation.
Last year the Aussie singer gushed about her man: “He’s the one. Sound the alarm, four years. I think I’m pretty settled.”
Scarlett Johansson is Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive, again.
The 28-year-old actress was first crowned the title in 2006, the only woman to be awarded it twice. Seems like keeping busy – starring in Don Jon, a Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and getting engaged – does wonders for your sexy status.
She admits the reason she jumped at the opportunity to pout for the Esquire camera came about because she knows her bombshell shelf life is short.
“I’m a twenty-eight-year-old woman in the movie business, right?” she said in the November issue. “Pretty soon the roles you’re offered all become mothers. Then they just sort of stop. I have to hedge against that with work, theatre, producing, this thing with Esquire.”
Johansson also gushed about her fiancé, French creative agency manager Romain Dauriac, 31, over the subject of jealousy.
“I’m with a Frenchman. I think jealousy comes with the territory,” she added. ”But I’d rather be with someone who’s a little jealous than someone who’s never jealous. There’s something a little dead fish about them. A little bit depressing.
Alluding to ex-husband Ryan Reynolds – the couple divorced in 2010 – she said she’s only just started to understand jealousy.
“I didn’t think I was a jealous person, until I started dating my current, my one-and-only,” she added. “I think maybe in the past I didn’t have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less, I just wasn’t capable of it or caring that much.”
Who do you think is the sexiest woman alive?
Jennifer Lawrence might be one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood right now, with a killer body to boot, but some people can’t stop talking about her weight.
“It was just the kind of s**t that actresses have to go through,” Lawrence tells the November issue of UK Harper’s Bazaar.
“Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.”
Despite having an incredible body, people within the industry told the 23-year-old that she had to lose weight.
‘They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me.”
“If anybody even tries to whisper the word “diet”, I’m like, “You can go f*** yourself.””
And the Oscar winner is happy to admit one of her weaknesses: “It’s normally crisps. It’s not my performance that is motivating me. I want to get the on-set catering,” she joked.
Do you think we’ll ever see real-size women in Hollywood?
Miranda Kerr might be one of the most successful supermodels in the world, but she admits that models don’t have the confidence the public assumes they do.
“Models are some of the most insecure people I’ve ever met,” she reveals in an interview in the November issue of US Cosmopolitan.
“They’re constantly being told they’re not good enough. You’ve really got to practice loving yourself.”
Kerr, 30, has been modelling since she was 13, and dealt with her fair share of pressure. “There was so much rejection in the beginning.’
But now, as one of the highest-paid supermodels, mum to two-year-old son Flynn, wife to Orlando Bloom and running her own organic skincare brand KORA Organics, she says her “life is more balanced than ever.”
Kerr gushed about her hubbie, currently starring in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway: “For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week – I have so much respect for him.”
While the couple are often apart – she is currently in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, while he hits the stage in New York – she says when they are together that traditional husband-wife roles are very important to her.
“Let the man do some things for you, because if he cares for you, he will want to.” As for her, she likes to get into her “feminine role” by putting on sexy underwear and red lipstick.”
Kerr also pointed out that she’s not just a pretty face: “I’m a lot stronger than people think.
“I’m that person who says, no matter what the problem is, there’s a solution. That’s the way my brain is wired. If someone says to me, ‘Well, that’s not possible. It can’t happen,’ I say, ‘Yes it is. I’m going to sit here and show you that it can.’ I can take no for an answer and accept it – but if there’s a solution and I can make it work, why wouldn’t I?”
As for how she maintains her killer body, she explains that she adheres to a 80 per cent healthy and 20 per cent indulgent lifestyle.
“We’re human, it’s good to be able to have a little indulgence,” she said. “You do the best you can and make conscious decisions.”
What do you think about Miranda Kerr’s outlook on life?
New dad Josh Duhamel can’t stop gushing about his one month-old son Axl Jack, or wife Fergie, saying she looks better now than before giving birth!
“We can’t stop staring at him. He’s our little man, we made him together,” Duhamel told E! News. “There’s something you can’t really describe until you go through it. I think any parents out there would understand that…It’s just an incredible time for both of us.”
The actor also joked about life with a newborn.
“They tell you that at his age, all they do is eat, sleep and poop.
“And what I’ve learned — what surprises me — is they can actually do all three at the same time. He can actually eat, sleep and poop at the same time. Who knew?”
The couple released another photo of their adorable son last week, but it’s the first photo taken by wife Fergie that at his first hearing test that had everyone wondering if he was already following in his mum’s musical footsteps.
“It was just funny — it wasn’t his cutest photo — but it was very fitting considering who his mother is,” Duhamel explains. “It looked like he was jammin‘ to music at two days old. And so, that was the photo she wanted to put out first.”
He added, “I don’t know if it’s because of what she’s been eating or what, she looks really, really great.”
It was the tale of two ridiculously famous pregnancies – the most-watched Mum Tums in recent times. Reality superstar Kim Kardashian, 32 and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, 31, gave birth to their much anticipated offspring a little over a month apart.
First came little North West on June 15, 2013, Kim’s daughter with rap star Kanye West, 36 and then came His Royal Highness, Prince George [Alexander Louis] of Cambridge on July 22, 2013, Kate’s son with Prince William, 31.
Then came the flurry of excitement to clock eyes on Kim and Kate’s offspring.
Whilst Kim and baby North went uncharacteristically ‘underground’, Kate, Wills and baby George made their very public appearance on the steps outside the Lindo Wing at London’s St. Mary’s Hopsital, one day after giving birth.
Kim and Kate’s pregnancies came under very different scrutiny.
Kate, who was lauded with having the perfect baby ‘bump’ and only looking pregnant ‘from the front’, apparently achieved this by hitting the gym, running, swimming and Pilates whilst pregnant.
Meanwhile Kim was ridiculed for piling on the pounds, which could really just be attributed to dubious fashion choices, shocking shoe choice and more than one unflattering angle.
Kim hid for two months, working hard to silence her body-critics whilst Kate had no qualms about showing her still round, post-baby bump to the world.
According to Vanity Fair, Kate’s hairdresser Amanda Cook Tucker was responsible for bringing the pale blue spotted Jenny Packham dress to the hospital, one of a selection of dresses for the Duchess. There was no point trying to hide her bump, so Kate chose a flattering dress that worked with her curves.
Kim unveiled her post-baby body when she took newborn North to a LA Medical Centre clad in a loose shirt. Hints that her body was getting back to its old self appeared when Kim attended the funeral of Kanye West’s grandfather and more recently when she stepped out with her newly blonde locks and skinny jeans on September 4.
Kim is thought to have dropped 20 kgs with healthy eating and a strict exercise regime. She reportedly has another 5-7 kgs to go to hit her goal weight.
Kim works out six days a week – three days in the gym with trainer Gunnar Peterson and the other three days with fitness guru Tracy Anderson, working on cardio and Pilates.
Anderson, who has also trained celebrity mums Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow, has weighed into the debate over public obsession with celebs ditching baby weight.
“It’s insane,” Anderson told Newsday.com on Tuesday night at US Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorkers event at Harlow in Manhattan. “I don’t think the public is even fascinated with it. I think they know it’s not real. It’s the most evil trick that women play on women.”
“There’s something really wrong with us trying to manipulate people into thinking celebrities have some secret that other women don’t have,” Anderson added. “Or there’s some superhuman unnatrual force that they were given that they just bounce back.”
Anderson revealed her goal with Kim was to make her ‘healthy and as in proportions as she should naturally be.’
“Kim is taking as much time as she wants to just be with the baby,” Anderson said. “She’s not even concerned with working out. Kim is amazing as a mom, she’s so connected. I knew when I was training her she would be a great mom. She was concerned with all the right things.”
Kate Middleton was back into her pre-pregnancy skinny jeans just six weeks after giving birth. Kate appeared unexpectedly alongside Prince William at the Ring O’Fire Ultra Marathon in Anglesey.
Last week, Kate returned to the red carpet in sparkling fashion at the Tusk Conservation Awards in London. Wearing a silver, sequinned floor-length gown by Jenny Packham and silver Jimmy Choo stilettos, there was little evidence of giving birth to a prince a mere seven weeks before.
Singer-turned-designer Jessica Simpson can sympathise with Kim Kardashian and Kate Middleton over the relentless attention dropping celebrity baby weight.
Jessica, 33, was ridiculed for her weight gain with first child Maxwell, 15 months and has worked hard since having her second boy, Ace Knute on June 30.
“I am definitely one of those pregnant women who just gains a lot of weight,” Simpson told Us Weekly. “I have really big boobs, I have my curves and I just gain weight. I can’t help it.”
“It’s been six weeks since I’ve had my baby now and I feel great,” she added. “It’s OK to gain weight and it will always come off.”
Jessica also weighed in on both Kim and Kate’s post-baby bodies.
“I felt for Kim – I knew exactly what she was going through,” said Simpson. “I send a lot of love her way, and I know she’ll come back with a bang.”
“Kate Middleton was glowing throughout her pregnancy,” she added. “A lot of pregnant mums were looking at her like, ‘How do you do that?’”
What do you think about the pressure for celebrity mums to lose the baby weight?
Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski are expecting their first child.
A rep for The Devil Wears Prada actress confirmed that the cute couple will become parents – in just a few months!
Blunt, 30, and Krasinki, 33, met in 2008, became engaged in 2009 and married in a stunning Italian ceremony in 2010.
“Meeting John really changed my life,” Blunt told US InStyle in April.
“When I feel the support I have from him, I feel invincible. There’s someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days.”
Krasinski, who is best known for his role in the US version of The Office, said friend Matt Damon was an inspiration in the working father department.
“We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done,” he told the Today Show.
Congratulations to Emily and John!
Angelina Jolie is making Sydney her home for the next three months to direct her next film, and on Wednesday she made a surprise visit to Tamworth.
After arriving on a small Qantas Dash 8, the actress and her entourage drove to the small town of Werris Creek, 30 minutes away, to scope out locations for the World War II drama, Unbroken.
Local paper The Northern Daily Leader reports that Jolie “stopped in on Mark Woolfe and the crew at Creek Meats and spent time checking out an alley nearby which is believed to be of major interest to the filmmaker”.
Later, she visited a home in Punyarra Street, “charming all and sundry when she stopped to hug the kids and pose for photos.”
Jolie’s six children stayed in Sydney with minders, with Brad Pitt due to join the family in a few days after filming a movie in the U.K.

Deborah-Lee Furness is gushing about hubbie Hugh Jackman, revealing she likes all his different movie role looks from hairy to clean-shaven.
“I like him clean-shaven. But I like him all ways: chubby, muscley, skinny,” she tells the October issue of Town & Country.
“I’m always having affairs.”
The adorable couple have spoken about their 18-year marriage, with Jackman, 44, recounting how he proposed to Furness, 57, after falling in love of the set of his first acting gig, Corelli.
“So, I decided, I won’t ask her to marry me for six months,” Jackman said. “Then after four months I thought, That’s the most ridiculous rule!”
Jackman has previously told the story about his proposal, with the young actor buying a rose gold ring, inviting her for a walk in the park, and proposing in front of a group of schoolgirls who were standing by the table he’d prepared in advance with flowers. What a great proposal story!
Fresh from promoting Wolverine and with his new movie Prisoners about to hit the big screen, Jackman is now filming the next X-Men movie in Montreal, but not before looking after the couple’s two kids, Oscar and Ava, for a few weeks while Furness visited six African counties with Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative investigation adoption policies and visiting orphan refugees.
Adoption is one of Furness’ biggest passions. She created National Adoption Awareness Week and sits on the board of Worldwide Orphans in Australia.
“I’m working with Americans to create an international campaign to shine a light on the fact that there are 153 million orphans in the world,” she says. “If that were a country, it would be the ninth-largest in the world, just ahead of Russia.”
Jackman, too, has a lot of experience with helping those in need, which stemmed from his father who worked with developing economies. From being partner in a free trade coffee shop in New York’s TriBeCa called The Laughing Man, to raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by selling his sweaty T-shirts after each performance of his hit Broadway show The Boy from Oz (each shirt would fetch between $5,000 and $25,000!).
“I’d sell my soul for a good cause,” Jackman admits.
Furness agrees: “He’d be a great auctioneer, if the acting doesn’t pan out.”
Which is your favourite Hugh Jackman movie?
Kim Kardashian says she wants to pose naked for Playboy again, despite regretting her 2007 shoot.
In a preview for new episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians – filmed before she gave birth to daughter North in June, the reality TV star reveals she can’t wait to do another nude shoot.
“As soon as I pop this thing out, I want to do Playboy or some nude shoot.”
Kardashian posed nude for Playboy in 2007 with Hugh Hefner telling her on her show that she had to take “all of it off’.”
Later in 2010, she told Harper’s Bazaar: “I’m sorry I did Playboy…I was uncomfortable.”
But a year later, she claimed that her racy shoot made her feel “independent.”
“I was always by the book,” she told Glamour magazine in 2011, “such the straight arrow when it came to pleasing my parents and being a good daughter.
“I felt like this was one decision that only I could make. And I think it looks great. I’ll have those pictures forever.”
What do you think about Kim Kardashian wanting to pose nude for Playboy again?
Prince William is gushing about his baby boy Prince George – and it’s pretty adorable.
“He’s a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way, so he either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger, I’m not sure,” William told CNN in an interview that will air mid-September.
The new dad said his son, Prince George, is “doing very well at the moment. He likes his nappy changed.”
He also confirmed that the royal couple – and even their pet dog – have adjusted to their new life with baby. “Catherine is very well, [and the dog] Lupo is coping…He’s been slobbering around the house a lot, so he’s happy.”
Despite being royalty, the new parents prefer to be hands-on parents – how refreshing!
“If I can do it myself, I’ll do it myself,” the Prince said. “I’m as independent as I want to be. I don’t like fuss.
And although being understandably weary of the press, William revealed it was a pleasure to show off his son to the world outside of St. Mary’s Hospital the day after George was born four weeks ago.
“I think I was on such a high anyway, and so was Catherine about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him. As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best looking or the best everything.” said William.
“It’s not somewhere I enjoy being, I know that the position I’m in that’s what’s required of me to do. … It’s nice that people want to see George, so, you know – I’m just glad he wasn’t screaming his head off the whole way through.”
Elle Macpherson has tied the knot with her billionaire fiance, Jeffrey Soffer in Fiji.
Macpherson, 49, and Soffer, 44, married in front of family and friends on the island. They had been engaged since March.
The couple dated for two years before splitting in March 2012. But the model rushed to his side following a horrific helicopter crash in the Bahamas in November last year, which killed his friend and saw Soffer undergo surgery for a fractured vertebrae.
The real estate developer is based in Miami, and Macpherson is believed to be preparing to relocate there from London.
Macpherson was previously married to fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1986 to 1989.
She dated French financier Arpad Busson for 10 years from 1995 to 2005 and has two sons with him: Arpad Flynn, 15, and Aurelius Cy, 10.
Simon Cowell is going to be a dad!
The 53-year-old X Factor judge and notorious bachelor is expecting his first child with New York socialist Lauren Silverman, 36.
And, wait for it…Silverman is still married to real estate mogul Andrew Silverman, a close friend of Cowell’s.
Cowell, 53, has often spoke out about his lack of interest in having a children.
“God, no. I couldn’t have children. If I had them here drawing on the walls I’d go nuts,” he said in 2009. “You’ve got to be up at a certain time. Got to listen. When all you want to do is sit in a corner thinking.”
But last year he seemed to be warming to the idea.
“I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them,” he told AOL Music. “The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids and I’ve always dedicated all my life to work, and at 52, I’ve probably missed the opportunity.”
Cowell was previously engaged to American Idol makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy, but they called off their 18-month engagement in September, 2011. Most recently he dated Carmen Electra for a few months but they split in February 2013.
What kind of dad do you think Simon Cowell will be?
