Could we love Hugh Jackman any more? He might be playing a reluctant father in his last flick Real Steel but in real life he’s a amazing dad who’s giving away some old-fashioned parenting tips.
Jackman, 42, father to Oscar, 11, and Ava, six, says he’s strictly anti-technology during the week.
“A buddy of mine has a rule that I installed: No screens during the week. No TV, or computer, or anything like that,” says the Aussie actor.
Jackman and wife Deborah Lee-Furness try and maintain an ordinary lifestyle especially for the sake of their children. “Kids nowadays have very little time,” says Jackman. “They seem to be at school longer than ever. They have all sorts of after school activities. By the time you have eaten and showered and dressed, it is over. So there is not much time for it anyway.”
And it sounds like the low-profile parents have brought their children up with great values, enjoying spending time outdoors.
“I love to play Wii Tennis,” admits Jackman. “So I’ll say to my son, ‘Hey, lets go play on the Wii.’ And he goes, ‘Dad, it’s a beautiful day! Let’s go outside!'”
What do you think? Should kids be allowed access to TV and computers during the week?
Talk about the epitome of fashion news and the latest celebrity gossip! Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, (aka Sansa Stark) will be the face of Karen Millen’s 2015 Autumn/Winter launch. I’ve just had a sneak peak at the fashion (which I’ll share) and campaign mini movie entitled The Journey shot by Photographer and director Glen Luchford.
The campaign centers around Turner. She’s supported by an entourage of handpicked British beauties, Lara Mullen, Rosie Tapner and Brogan Loftus. These young, vivacious women have been exquisitely styled by Katy England who breathes life into the entire collection.
Presented is an eclectic mixture of high-low, trend-led, London inspired pieces. These are complimented with some stunning seasonal wardrobe staples. Seriously the handbags and heeled boots are to die for! As always their objective is to design and create effortless fashion for modern intelligent, urban woman. That sounds very much like a majority of our readers?!
There’s an opulent mixture of day, night, casual, office and evening ware. KM has used a variety of fabrics in plain and feminine patterns, creating perfectly contoured shirts, tops, jeans and elegant skirts. There’s also a selection of tailored pants and an array of coats and jackets available in long and short varieties. To complete the AW15 collection faux furs and flowing scarfs have been included to ward off the winter chills. Plus they haven’t forgotten their iconic bikers jacket. So, basically all the must have’s for a stylish Autumn / Winter wardrobe have been included.
The KM brand ensures exceptional quality with first class craftsmanship. Directed by CCO Gemma Metheringham each piece is designed, cut and finished in KM’s design studio. These remain reflective of KM’s origin which remains based in Shoreditch London. The brand also dedicates support to emerging fashion talent with their graduate protégé scheme. Participants receive valuable experience and in return KM inspires innovation by encouraging new industry professionals.
Speaking of emerging talent and industry professionals lets get back to the celebrity goss! Turner was cast for the role of Sansa Stark at age 13 after being handpicked from her school. She remains with Game of Thrones as it enters it’s fifth season. The promo has just been released and fans can’t wait until it airs in the US on April 12th. Granted Turner’s had a very different role with KM. In fact it’s probably as far from Winterfell and Kings landing entire as you can possibly get! Quite a transformation isn’t it!
As well as being the face of KM, Turner’s been a very busy young lady since Game of Thrones aired last season. She’s rapidly made a leap from small to large screen. She’s recently concluded an action comedy called Barley Lethal with Hailee Steinfeld, Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson. Plus she scored a lead role in an independent film called Alone with Mark Kassen and Ray Liotta.
She’s certainly been mixing it up with some film favorites there. No wonder she’s recently been signed to play Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse. Turner will act along side one film’s hottest honeys; Channing Tatum and of course Australia’s favorite X-Man, Hugh Jackman will be there. The film is currently in pre-production and is due for release in 2016. Looks like this busy talented young beauty is one up and coming celebrity to keep an eye on!

Deborah-Lee Furness is gushing about hubbie Hugh Jackman, revealing she likes all his different movie role looks from hairy to clean-shaven.
“I like him clean-shaven. But I like him all ways: chubby, muscley, skinny,” she tells the October issue of Town & Country.
“I’m always having affairs.”
The adorable couple have spoken about their 18-year marriage, with Jackman, 44, recounting how he proposed to Furness, 57, after falling in love of the set of his first acting gig, Corelli.
“So, I decided, I won’t ask her to marry me for six months,” Jackman said. “Then after four months I thought, That’s the most ridiculous rule!”
Jackman has previously told the story about his proposal, with the young actor buying a rose gold ring, inviting her for a walk in the park, and proposing in front of a group of schoolgirls who were standing by the table he’d prepared in advance with flowers. What a great proposal story!
Fresh from promoting Wolverine and with his new movie Prisoners about to hit the big screen, Jackman is now filming the next X-Men movie in Montreal, but not before looking after the couple’s two kids, Oscar and Ava, for a few weeks while Furness visited six African counties with Bill Clinton’s Global Initiative investigation adoption policies and visiting orphan refugees.
Adoption is one of Furness’ biggest passions. She created National Adoption Awareness Week and sits on the board of Worldwide Orphans in Australia.
“I’m working with Americans to create an international campaign to shine a light on the fact that there are 153 million orphans in the world,” she says. “If that were a country, it would be the ninth-largest in the world, just ahead of Russia.”
Jackman, too, has a lot of experience with helping those in need, which stemmed from his father who worked with developing economies. From being partner in a free trade coffee shop in New York’s TriBeCa called The Laughing Man, to raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by selling his sweaty T-shirts after each performance of his hit Broadway show The Boy from Oz (each shirt would fetch between $5,000 and $25,000!).
“I’d sell my soul for a good cause,” Jackman admits.
Furness agrees: “He’d be a great auctioneer, if the acting doesn’t pan out.”
Which is your favourite Hugh Jackman movie?
Hugh Jackman has spilled the beans on how he keeps the romance alive in his marriage.
“My number one rule for romance is surprise,” Jackman says in the August issue of Good Housekeeping. “If I bring Deb flowers every Tuesday, yeah, it’s nice, but is it romantic?”
The Wolverine star has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness, who he calls his “best mate”, for 17 years.
Despite having two children and a busy work schedule, Jackman says the key to romance is shaking your routine up.
“So much of life is about your routine. I [recently] pretended I was still on the set. I called Deb and said, ‘I’ll be back late tonight.'”
He then surprised her by showing up hours earlier. “And she got such a shock. I’d made reservations at our favourite lunch place. It was three hours before the kids finished school, and it was awesome because it was unplanned.”
The gorgeous couple also keep their marriage strong by never being apart for more than two weeks, a rule Furness instated.
“When I met her, she’d already done about 20 movies,” Jackman says. “She said, ‘It’s not that I think you’re going to go off with a costar, or vice versa. But people get used to living apart. You get used to handling a problem yourself.'”

The future Mrs BloomOrlando Bloom to propose
Sorry ladies, Orlando Bloom is about to be taken off the market. According to Teenhollywood, the Troy spunk is preparing to ask actress girlfriend Kate Bosworth to marry him. Orlando has been telling people on the set of his latest film that he is likely to propose when Kate flies out to visit him later in the month. He is currently working on Ridley Scott?s latest film Kingdom of Heaven which is about the 12th century crusades. (On a side note, he has been forced to wear a chest wig to make him appear more credible as a blacksmith turned warrior!) Sources on the set say, ?He is very traditional, so he will literally kneel down before her.” Kate has told him she wants to be proposed to in an exotic location, so Orlando has decided Morocco is the perfect place. Sssh?let?s just hope that Kate doesn?t find out about the surprise.

Pop diva Madonna thinks J.Lo and Ben Affleck got their just desserts in having to cancel their wedding due to the media attention. Madonna revealed, on US TV show Access Hollywood that, “To a certain extent, they courted the media attention.” Madonna?s advice to Lopez and Affleck included considering a marriage as “a part of the relationship that you keep private.” She said that she’s not judging them, but added, “If you have a strong relationship, a lot of media attention can break it up.” Good advice from the woman that has been in the pubic eye for almost 20 years now and has been happily married to director Guy Ritchie for the last 3 years!
Wolverine turns into Bond
Hugh Jackman has been tipped as the new industry favourite to take over from Pierce Brosnan as the next James Bond. The Aussie hunk will have even more women drooling if he dons the famous superspy tuxedo. The role will be vacated by the devishly handsome Pierce Brosnan after the next Bond installment. The X-Men star is thought to be top of the list of potential replacements. “A list of possible successors has been drawn up, and Hugh is at the top,” said a source at 007 moviemaker Eon. “He’s got everything the producers are looking for — dark good looks, an athletic build, a sense of humour and box-office clout. At 35, he is also the right age.” Bond director Lewis Gilbert said: “You can’t have someone too young playing Bond because they would never be believable in the part.” You can have our vote any day Hugh ? after his latest gig on Broadway maybe he could it be the man with the golden taps shoes?

Madge will travel to Paris to unveil the first of five volumes in September. Details of the singer, actress, model and mother?s highly anticipated first book remain under wraps until the release date but media reports said the fables would contain elements from kabbalah, an esoteric, mystic offshoot of Judaism. Don?t think J. K. Rowling if Madge writes like she acts.

News is that the former Manpower spunk popped the question to girlfriend Siobhan Way, a jewellery designer from Perth last week, although we?re yet to hear the details of the proposal. The pair has been dating for less than a year and are the latest in a recent spate of celebrities to catch the love bug in recent weeks. 60 Minutes reporter Peter Overton also proposed in the last week and received the nod from gorgeous newsreader Jessica Rowe!
