Whether it’s cascading down her back, brushing against her shoulders, or a short pixie crop, there is no doubt that Jennifer Lawrence can pull off almost any hairstyle. This look at the 2013 Golden Globes was just before J-Law took the plunge and chopped her long locks, but we can still reminiscence about this, right?
Try this easy hairstyle on your own hair, especially if it’s long with a touch of body and bounce at the ends.
1. This look is all about texture – if you don’t have natural curls, you can always fake them with a curling wand! To create those tiny baby curls, use a wand that is less than 30 inches wide, it will give you the most natural curls for this particular look. Curl tightly and away from the face – this means that your curls are less likely to look artificial.
2. After you’ve curled all of your hair (this could take a bit of time, especially if you have super-thick hair!), carefully brush the curls with your fingers. This is nothing too drastic, and won’t change the shape of your curls, or cause them to straighten out. If you have naturally curly hair, then this step isn’t required. Simply apply a touch of texturising mousse onto your roots for that va-va-voom!
3. Divide the hair into two sections (top and bottom), then work with the bottom layer. Give your hair a loose fishtail braid, and secure with a hair tie that is similar to the colour of your hair. After you’re done, pull the braid apart to add texture.
4. Pin the braid onto the roots (behind your left ear), and tuck in the end with a bobby pin. Use as many pins as you need until your hair feels secure. Then simply follow this same step with the rest of your hair.
5. If you have shorter layers at the front such as a fringe, curl this away from your face, and secure with a bobby pin for a refined look.
6. Use a little hairspray (KMS California HAIRPLAY makeover spray, $28.95) to keep it all together, but don’t go overboard since it can ruin the soft texture of your bohemian undo!

Never have more of our favorite celebs been lobbing their locks and rocking a short do. Women of all ages are proving that short hair can be sophisticated, sexy and versatile! Be inspired by some of the best short hairstyles of the year.
The fringed pixie
Unlike the traditional pixie cut, this year we’re seeing a lot of this style with a fringe. The range of celebs sporting this ‘do proves that you don’t need to have a particular face shape to pull it off. Although, of course, it doesn’t hurt to have Robin Wright’s bone structure!
Chin-length bobs are hot, and also look great on every face shape. Waves are great for adding some volume and framing delicate features, like those of Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss. Customize your bob to suit your features by moving the part (side or middle) and maybe fashioning a fringe.
The Side Sweep
Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart are perfect examples of how to wear this look for different occasions. While K-Stew goes the “bed-hair” route, J-Law is looking glamorous on the red carpet with styled-waves. Just part your hair on the side, sweep it over, and pin back the rest.

Carrie Bradshaw started it, now stars like Miranda Kerr, Rihanna, even Jennifer Lawrence are embracing the underwear as outerwear look. Corsets and crop tops are becoming the center-piece of red carpet looks, and having your bra peaking out the side of your singlet is the ultimate way to sex-up your street wear.
Leading lingerie brands are becoming increasingly risqué with the visibility of their racy and lacy products. Luxury brands like Agent Provocateur and Dita Von Teese, are designing their delicates to be seen, with criss-crossing straps and high-neck styles hitting the stores.
Agent Provocateur is famous for their Alina bra – a style that claims to “frame your cleavage” with its french-maid looking, tear-drop shaped straps.
If you’d like this boudoir look without breaking the bank, try Elle Macpherson Intimates, or the latest indie fave – Hopeless lingerie. For inspiration, look at these celebs rocking their underwear on the streets and the red carpet.

This season seems to be anything-but-traditional with some truly outrageous hairstyles hitting red carpets. If you’ve ever wanted to experiment with your hair, now is the time to do it – you might just stumble across a trend-setting ‘do.
Game of Thrones star, Natalie Dormer, shaved the side of her head for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay. If you’re not as brave as Natalie and fellow side-shaved celeb, Rosario Dawson, you can try a dramatic part and a side braid or sleek sweep, like Jessica Alba and Sophie Turner.
You can catch Nicole Richie in her new reality show with cool lilac locks! Kelly Osborne and Ke$ha are also sporting this outrageous, candy-colored trend.
Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence make short hair look effortless with their edgy, waved style.

It’s safe to say that “it” girl Jennifer Lawrence is not losing her crown as Hollywood’s favourite clotheshorse anytime soon. Here are 5 of her top celebrity style fashion moments.
Calvin Klein Collection
Lawrence first caught our attention as a fashion icon in this fitted red Calvin Klein Collection gown at the 2011 Academy Awards. This dress hugged her curves in all the right places, helping her transition out of the appearance of a child star and into the spotlight as a mature actress. Her long, tousled locks and smokey eye makeup made Lawrence a stand out on this red carpet.
At the Hunger Games premiere in 2012, Lawrence opted for this floor length Prabal Gurung dress. The color of the material makes it look as though she is wearing liquid gold. But what makes this so visually interesting is the reverse of the gown which highlights Lawrence’s toned back. The hue also brings out her skin’s natural glow.
The 2013 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles gave Lawrence the opportunity to flirt it up on the red carpet in this short black David Koma number. This LBD is perfect for the mild weather of L.A. and showcases her strong legs. The sheer cutouts at the top of the frock show off Lawrence’s defined shoulders without being too obvious. Paired with strappy pumps and a new shorter do, Lawrence looks young and fresh for her appearance at the awards.
In one of her most daring fashion choices, Lawrence wore this sheer Dior gown to the 2013 LA premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Originally worn topless on the runway, Lawrence chose some extra coverage for this red carpet. The gown shows off her muscular body in an unexpected way and gives her a rock-n-roll edge.
In her most elegant red carpet appearance, Jennifer stunned in this ivory Christian Dior gown at the 2013 Academy Awards. This flawless look creates an elegant and sophisticated silhouette for Lawrence who would go on to win the Oscar for Best Actress that evening. The dramatic train and voluminous skirt contrasts beautifully with the fitted bodice. The dress is accented with a thin silver and diamond chain draped around her neck and down her bare back. Even with her slight misstep to accept her award, this gown and entire ensemble is truly her most iconic look.
What’s your favourite Jennifer Lawrence look?

Who has time to style their hair every morning? Luckily, these five celebrity hairstyles are easy to do, look amazing and only take a few minutes to put together.
Sienna Miller’s half updo
If you can’t decide between wearing your hair loose or in a hair up style, the answer is: a half undo, a sophisticated style that looks beautiful yet only takes a minute or two to style. Medium to long hair lengths look the best in this style. To achieve the half updo, flip your hair upside down and spray the roots with hairspray for some lift. Then, take a few sections of hair around the crown, and braid or twist them into a loose bun to secure. The final result is a feminine style that will show off your best features.
Jennifer Lawrence’s pixie hairstyle
When Jennifer chopped off her mane last year because it was in the “icky awkward stage”, she went from girl-next-door to style icon. The feminine pixie cut looks amazing on Lawrence and shows off her spectacular blue eyes and luminous skin. A lot of women might be scared of getting the big chop, but rest assured that a pixie cut is surprisingly flattering and only takes seconds to style. To get this look, simply run a little hair texturising lotion through your hair after you shower and smooth it down with a blow dryer so the ends are set.
Rose Byrne’s easy side ponytail
A side ponytail is one of the easiest hairstyles to do, yet it’s perfect for any occasion. This hairstyle looks particularly great on girls with straight or curly hair. To achieve this look, run some curl smoothing cream through your tresses to enhance the curl pattern and reduce any frizz. If you have straight hair, use a large curling barrel to add some volume (don’t forget to use a heat protectant spray). Finally, brush your hair to the side and secure with a hair tie. The side ponytail looks great a little messy, so tease the ponytail for added volume.
Kate Bosworth’s high topknot
Show off killer cheekbones with a sophisticated top knot. This is one of the most popular celebrity hairstyles, and is great for elegant occasions because it highlights and lengthens your neck so that all eyes turn on you. The topknot works best on girls with straight hair because it’s easier to gather into a high ponytail. The first step is to gather your hair as high as possible. Then, use a hair donut to add body and secure. Finish with a light mist of hairspray to tame any flyways.
Taylor Swift curls
Who doesn’t love big, bouncy curls? However, curling hair can be gruelling and it takes an eternity. Plus, the heat from your curling iron can be damaging and result in breakage. Luckily there’s an easy way to curl the hair with less time and damage, and you’ll only need a headband. Headband curls only take five minutes to do, and it can be done in your sleep – literally. To achieve sexy curls, place a headband around your hair. Then, simply twirl the hair into the band and go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning, release the headband and the curls will fall loose. Avoid brushing the curls because they will lose the curl pattern and become waves.

Jennifer Lawrence rocked a seductive berry lip and glowing skin at the Golden Globes 2014. Here’s how celebrity makeup artist Ve Neill created the look, with some easy makeup tips for recreating the look at home.
Ve used one of our favourite foundations to create Jennifer’s flawless complexion, Dior Airflash Matte Touch Long-Lasting Airy Powder and Diorskin Nude BB Crème in Fair (#002). The Airflash is a light foundation mist that takes a little getting used to, but it creates an incredible airbrushed finish.
For Jennifer’s glow-from-within blush, Ve used Diorblush Glowing Color Powder Blush in My Rose (#943), a really pretty pink hue.
To play off those dark lips, a subtle smokey eye is all you need – any darker, and the look becomes too harsh. Ve used Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow in Gris-Gris (#034), a beautiful palate of greys, and lined the eyes using Dior Crayon Kohl in Black (#099).
Finally, lashing of Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara in Over Black #090.
This look is all about the lips, and Jennifer wore Rouge Dior Lipstick in Prune Daisy (#976).

Who is your celebrity style all-star this week?
Jennifer Lawrence might be one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood right now, with a killer body to boot, but some people can’t stop talking about her weight.
“It was just the kind of s**t that actresses have to go through,” Lawrence tells the November issue of UK Harper’s Bazaar.
“Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn’t lose a certain amount of weight.”
Despite having an incredible body, people within the industry told the 23-year-old that she had to lose weight.
‘They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet. They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn’t still hurt me.”
“If anybody even tries to whisper the word “diet”, I’m like, “You can go f*** yourself.””
And the Oscar winner is happy to admit one of her weaknesses: “It’s normally crisps. It’s not my performance that is motivating me. I want to get the on-set catering,” she joked.
Do you think we’ll ever see real-size women in Hollywood?
