“I wanted to put queen-size woman at the center of my brand.”
Spoiler alert: it was exhausting, and my boyfriend was genuinely confused.
How can she even walk in these?!
It’s not fat sex. It’s just SEX. Human sex.
My well-endowed ‘assets’ attract negative attention.
When it comes to wearing scantily clad outfits in the bedroom, it’s usually the female that gets to have all the fun. That was, until now – because apparently male lingerie is a growing trend!
No, we’re not talking about fancy boxer shorts or cut-out jocks, we’re reffering to the real deal – silk lined bras, racy G-strings and coloured lace briefs. So the question is: Would you be happy for your man to dress-up in the bedroom?
Well, according to Australian lingerie brand HommeMystere, the demand for male garments has increased so much in recent years that they’re expanding their business online just to keep up. What’s even more interesting is that 90 per cent of their customers are actually in heterosexual relationships, revealed an independent survey.
“A growing number of guys are discovering the comfort of lightweight lingerie style underwear,” the brand’s website reads. “HommeMystere understand that you want quality undergarments made with care, attention to detail and fits the male body perfectly.”
So, why exactly would men want to wear bras? “I think bras are just something they like the feel of,” the founder of the company Brent Krause told The Huffington Post. “I don’t know whether it’s the tightness around the chest or what it is, but it’s definitely the feeling that they’re after.”
The company, which launched back in 2008, told The Daily Mail that the concept came from a gap in the market. They wanted to give males the option to buy sexy underwear that was tailored to their shape, so that they didn’t have to continue buying female undergarments from women’s stores.
While some consumers argue that the collection is targeted at the gay community – despite featuring a man and women in their campaign images – the brand insists that they’re “not concerned if you are gay, straight, vegetarian, republican, anglican, martian or any other persuasion,” They simply “just design and manufacture attractive luxury underwear for men.”
So, what do you think? Will you be buying your man silk bras anytime soon?

Sigh… That time of year has come and gone. The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was aired last night and what an event it was! Conclusions: Karlie Kloss has legs for days, Taylor Swift has a back-up career on the catwalk, and the world is officially out of shiny, gold wings and black lace.

We have less than a week to go before the biggest runway event of the year – the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. This landmark event has been running since 1995 and has transcended a mere catwalk show. With performances from the biggest pop acts in the world, and the industry’s biggest supermodel names, there is no doubt why the Victoria’s Secret special is the only fashion show to be broadcast internationally on mainstream tv networks. The show will be aired on Tuesday, December 9 on CBS, and here is everything you need to know in the lead up to the big night.
1. The Angels
To be granted your Victoria’s Secret “wings” is the modelling equivalent of winning an Oscar. These ladies are at the top of the beauty game, only to be exceeded by retired Angels, such as Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Miranda Kerr. The line-up this year includes: Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge and Lindsay Ellingson.
2. Their Instagram Accounts
Follow your favorite model on Instagram for the biggest scoop. Start with the Victoria’s Secret account (@victoriassecret), and try resident photographer Jerome Duran (@jeromeduran) for bonus snaps. To get in on the action, use the official hashtag #VSFashionShow.

Lindsay Ellingson – @lindsellingson
3. The Fantasy Bra
Among the big news this year is that there will be TWO Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bras. For the first time, Brazilian duo Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia will be filling out the bras, which are valued at $2 million each! The most expensive lingerie sets in the world are encrusted with thousands of amethysts, topaz, diamonds, sapphires, garnets and 18k gold… essentially enough bling to enrich a small country.
4. The other models
According to the casting agents, the recipe for VS models is personality, proportions (well, duh), glowing skin and a killer smile. There are rumored to be 44 models hitting the catwalk in this year’s show. Keep an eye on the fresh faces of 2014 because this year’s newcomers might be the next Gisele. Victoria’s Secret posts a casting video each year, take a look at this year’s competition.
5. The Music
This year Taylor Swift (who also performed at last year’s show), Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Hozier will be taking the stage (runway?) to provide the strut-worthy soundtrack.
6. Cara Delevingne And Kendall Jenner Will NOT Be Walking
I repeat, Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner will not be walking. For those who passionately follow VS news, this might be a big deal since these have been two of VS’ most famous faces in the past. This year, Delevingne and Jenner passed up the gig in favor of their old pal Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel. It’s tough being a model, right?

Sometimes the hardest part of getting up in the morning is deciding what lingerie is going to complement your mood and outfit. Whether it is a casual white tee or a silky blouse the right bra and brief combination can completely change how you feel and look. Shape, size and fit of your underwear can transform any outfit from drab to fab.
Keeping skin tone in mind
There are a range of colours that we can be drawn to, but they don’t always work with our skin tone. It’s important to select colours that accentuate our positives, rather than detract. For instance, if your skin tone is porcelain selecting colours such as red, navy blue and deep pinks help to complement the skin. Whereas, skin tones that are more bronzed suit, creams and peaches.
Investing in comfortable basics
In our day-to-day lives, having some comfortable support is something we can count on. Investing in a basic bra in either black, white or skin tone, is a great asset to have for any wardrobe. Having a couple of options and simple cuts that work with different tops and dresses makes the mad dash out the door for work, or your event, that little less stressful.
Mixing and matching colour
Lingerie is something to have fun with and experiment. There is no rule to say you can’t experiment with your colour options and have red, pink, blue and green in there. Printed lingerie is also a good way to mix things up if you’re more inclined to go for a pop of colour too. The space between your torso breaks up the colours so you can feel free to mix and match. One key thing to remember with colour is to make sure whether it can be seen through your outfit. The last thing you want is your bright red bra strap taking the limelight from your outfit.
Shapes to accentuate your outfit
Lingerie isn’t just another item to add underneath your clothing, it’s helpful in gaining the desired shape you are after for your overall outfit look. For instance, sweetheart necklines call for a push up bra and body conscious dresses can be improved by having underwear that holds us in more tightly.
Buying tips while in store
Personal preference plays a huge factor in deciding what to wear, ultimately the decision comes down to you and how the lingerie makes you feel; sexy, happy, cool calm and comfortable. Get to know yourself and remember only you know what feels comfortable. Most of us won’t be comfortable in wearing under garments that don’t fit right or suit us, so pick something that you know you won’t be adjusting all day.

Popstars Madonna and Katy Perry are both known for being unexpected. When Katy Perry released her first hit single, I Kissed A Girl, in 2008 it shocked her family after being raised in a Christian household, but it caught the attention of millions of men and women around the world. Since then, she has continued to be a sex symbol.
Much like Madonna, who we all know to be controversial, contributing to her becoming one of the most influential cultural icons of our time. Her powerful songs and attitude have carried on since her first appearance to the music scene in 1982.
This month, they have joined together to show the world that age doesn’t matter when it comes to being sexy, it is confidence that’s the key. The two posed on the cover of V magazine for a bondage and S&M themed shoot.
In tight, lace and leather, with red lips and heels, the stars used rope to attach themselves to each other and show off their dominatrix flair. The collaboration seemed to go well, with Perry and Madonna stating they had a great experience.
Madonna is quoted as saying to Katy Perry:
“I really enjoyed working with you on the photo shoot. People always expect when two divas get together that there might be weird vibes or a strange competitiveness, but this was nice and easy and fun.”
Katy Perry, a lady who embraces the pin-up girl look, and Madonna, who played a pseudo-dominatrix for Complex in 2009, were right at home in this shoot. Yet, despite how the two looked, they both stressed it wasn’t as simple on the body as it seemed to be.
Perry described her experience to V Magazine:
“I was sore in my upper body and in my butt area from all that squatting.”
“It’s good to be sore in your butt. My neck is sore from that wonderful moment when I was sucking on your heel.”
I don’t think anyone can deny the stars look equally sexy, no matter their age.

Nearly every woman has a favourite bra and wearing it can make you feel fabulous, sexy and ready to take on any challenge the day brings. Whether it only comes out for special occasions, like that hot date, or you wear it to make yourself feel and look good, it can be devastating when that favourite becomes damaged or loses its shape.
Bras can quickly become damaged by incorrect washing, wearing them too often or storing them in a tangled mess. So to save money and help care for your favourite lingerie, Helena Crumpton, inventor of bra storage solution Bra-Voe, shares her top 10 ways to care for your bras.
1. When washing your bras in the washing machine, always put them into a wash bag and take out any removable pads. This will help the bra to maintain its shape and elasticity longer. It will also prevent the straps from catching on other clothing or being wrapped around the washing machine’s agitator.
2. When washing your bra ensure to use a delicate cycle with cool water to prevent the bra from losing its shape. It’s also a good idea to use a mild detergent to prevent the delicate fabric from being stained or damaged. Mild detergents will also cause less irritation on your skin while wearing the bra.
3. After taking your bras out of a washing machine, re-shape them as soon as possible. This will help the bra to dry in the correct shape and prevent the fabric from dimpling.
4. When hand washing your bras make sure you carefully remove the excess water without wringing them out. Wringing or scrunching the cups can ruin their shape and cause the padding to dimple.
5. Never put your bras in the dryer because it can cause them to shrink, loose their shape or damage the delicate fabric. Always hang your bras by the straps and let them drip dry on a clothes rack.
6. Don’t wash your bras too often as it can damage the fabric and cause them to lose their shape quicker. Bras can be washed after every two or three wears, unless it’s a sport bra which needs to be washed more often. It’s a good idea to wait a day before wearing a bra again to help it regain its elasticity
7. When storing bras never invert the cups because it can lead to lumps and dimples in the fabric. These dimples and lumps can show through clothing, like shirts and close fitting dresses and ruin your outfit and sometimes even your whole day.
8. To keep your bras smelling fresh, place your favourite fragrance sachet into your lingerie drawer.
9. Never squash your bras into a drawer because the straps can become tangled and stretched. It will also distort their shape and the hooks will catch on other bras damaging the fabric or causing holes.
10. Treasure your bras by storing them carefully. You can store bras on a Bra-Voe, an innovative way to store, organise and show off your bras in a drawer, on a shelf or on a wall to prevent them from being damaged or tangled.
Bra-Voe is a clever and stylish solution for bra storage. It organises your bra collection and also prevents them from being damaged. Founder Helena Crumpton, spent five years perfecting the innovative concept, which uses specially designed moulded cups to maintain the shape and contour of bras. The perfect gift for any women, Bra-Voe can be mounted on a wall, in a drawer or on a shelf and is available in three sizes. Visit www.bra-voe.com for more information.
