Sex Toys You Didn’t Know You Already Had

Sex toys used to be called martial aids, and still are in some places, because the list of items couples can use included way more than what they sold in adult shops. Although this industry is booming and there are new items available all the time, there are plenty of everyday things couples can use to spice it up. Here’s a few ideas to add a bit a variety to your sex life that you probably have in your home already.

When was the last time you went to the kitchen and looked for tasty spreads or creams, fruit and veggies, to use with your partner? Use your imagination, get creative and go hunting! You can also change the sensation if you heat or cool down particular foods. Imagine heated Nutella, for example, yum! The warmth will also increase blood flow so it’s a win-win!

Vibrating electric razors

Now, this may sound a bit out there, but many electric razors actually vibrate and they are waterproof. Detach the top to avoid cutting yourselves and have a play. You’ll find they are really similar to the smaller vibrators on the market. They are much better for foreplay because they can be a bit sharp if you try to use them using intercourse.

Hair ties

You might wonder what a little hair tie has to do with sex but think about cock rings for a minute. They are made of all sorts of things so why not try a hair tie. The rubber ones without the small metal clasp are better because there is a chance the metal piece can cut you both. Also, be careful not to put it on too tight or leave it on too long. It’s about restricting the blood flow, while the penis is engorged, but eventually the blood has to be able to able to flow.

Mobile phones

Yep. Yet another thing to use your mobile for. You can either set it to vibrate and your partner can continue to call you, while you strategically place it or how about this; there’s now an app for this too. MyVibe by MyPleasure has developed an app to control your phones vibrations from short and quick to long and slow. Is there no end to what you can use your mobile for? Apparently not! By the way, you might want to give it a clean before and after to use it. These things are covered with bacteria.

Peppermint mouthwash/peppermints

Peppermint mouth wash or mints can give your partner a cool, tingling sensation during oral sex. Plus the peppermint actually increases circulation and blood flow. Avoid direct contact with the skin, however, because it can be painful for sensitive areas. This works for both partners, so why not take turns?

Cooking oil

Want to go for a bit of slip and slid? Lotions are ok but oils, particularly cooking, can add a new dimension to the word fun. You can use it for foreplay to give your partner an amazing, full body massage or during intercourse. You might have a few problems making a connection, as you slip and slide all over each other but it’s well worth trying. If you like it, you might want to go and invest in tastier, edible stuff because cooking oil doesn’t taste the best.

Is Technology a Buzz Kill in the Bedroom?

I’ve never been a fan of technology in the bedroom. The idea of having a television in my serene space makes me feel funny. We all know watching TV, playing video games, use of laptops or tablets before bedtime can ruin our chances of getting a good night’s sleep, let alone the ways in which it can destroy the intimacy within a relationship. Going to bed with your partner should be a warm, fond and intimate experience. Not one where both partners are drawn to their own tech toys and actually ignoring each other.

That said, there is also a good argument for technology actually improving things in the bedroom. The use of technology has enabled sex toys to come a very long way – pun intended. These days vibrators can be waterproof, rechargeable and even remote controlled!

Jimmy Jane’s Hello Touch is an exciting sex toy that would never have been possible without technology. It consists of two vibrating finger pads and can be used all over the body to provide an intense stimulation experience either alone or with a partner.

The Wake Up Vibe, a vibrator that can wake you up with a smile at a predetermined time. Simply set the alarm as you would an alarm clock and instead of waking to a shrill sounding siren, slowly rise to the waves of pleasurable vibrations the toy generates.

The We-Vibe 4 – the latest in couples sex toys! Not only is its figure hugging design perfectly created to be worn by women, whilst making love with your partner,  it is also rechargeable, waterproof and remote-controlled, too! The complete techtoy package!

Moka by pico bong is another great example of how technology has enhanced our sex toys. A slimline G-Spot targeting vibrator, (although this little gem is just as comfortable on your clitoris as it is on your G-spot), Moka is made from luxury soft silicone, making it a hygienic toy choice, waterproof and drum roll please … It has 12 different vibration patterns. Yes, we said 12!!! Now you know why it’s one of our best sellers. With so much choice, you’re bound to find something you like.

In addition to the toys themselves, there are all sorts of liquids and lubricants that have the benefit of technology behind them.

Rocket Delay Balm – a simple balm designed to delay climax and prolong pleasure.

Intensify Plus by Kama Sutra – available in warming or cooling these arousal gels designed specifically for women will enhance and intensify pleasure during intimacy.

Play O – our personal favourite – manufactured by Durex, Play O is specifically designed for women who struggle to reach orgasm. Around 80 per cent of women need clitoral stimulation so durex and technology created a miracle serum to help us reach it. Simply rub a small amount on the clitoris for an intense experience that will change your sex life.

There is also an abundance of apps that have been created specifically to enhance our pleasure. Take Tinder for example – helping single people get laid locally – or Spice Dice, an app that rolls two dice giving you and your partner sexual instructions to follow for foreplay or more.

Then of course there is the simple technology in our phones that enable us to send saucy SMS’s during the day, take intimate photos or even try out some home movie making! Please always ensure your photos/videos are only ever going to be seen by someone you truly trust. Finding a naked image of yourself on the internet in five years time is not something you’ll be thrilled about – unless you’re Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian of course!

So, all in all, whilst I’m still not a fan of watching TV in the bedroom, technology can certainly be credited for taking our pleasure to new heights.

Long may the technological buzz continue…

5 Fun Sex Toys For Couples

Introducing sex toys into a relationship can not only enhance intimacy between you and your partner, it can also add a new lease of life to your bedroom activities. Sex toys allow us to discover new pleasures. When you’re able to share that with your partner you are well on your way to an exciting and more fulfilling sex life.

There are plenty of sex toys that have been specifically designed to be used with a partner, often referred to as couples’ toys. These pleasure enhancers generally focus on enhancing female pleasure but provide a stimulating experienced for the male partner too.

We’ve picked 5 of the best sex toys for couples:

sextoys1. The Reversible Stroker

Most commonly referred to as male masturbators, the Stroker is a great and inexpensive toy that can be easily used by a couple. The inner side offers stimulating ridges that simulate the sensations of oral sex, whilst the outer side offers soft flexible nodules which provide an exciting stroking sensation. Strokers are literally ‘stroked’ up and down the shaft of the penis providing stimulation to the male partner. They can be used as part of foreplay and can be particularly helpful to couples who may be experiencing signs of erectile dysfunction. The use of a stroker will certainly help get your man in the mood.

It is always recommended to add a water-based lubricant when using a stroker to enhance the sensations and avoid any friction.

2. Vibrating Love Ring

Love rings, penis rings or cock rings as they are commonly known, help restrict the flow of blood to the penis, helping to maintain an erection for longer. Rings like the Dorcel Power Clit are great for women too as they are made with a protruding section featuring raised nodules which stimulate the clitoris during intercourse. A simple push button controller causes both the ring and the clitoral stimulator to vibrate, therefore enhancing pleasure for both partners.

Rings made from silicone, like this one, stretch to accommodate most girths and with a little waterbased lubricant will easily slide down the shaft of the penis and into position. Be sure to remove the love ring before your partner falls asleep or he may wake up to find he’s restricted a little too much blood.

3. Dorcel Remote Control Vibrating Egg

This is a toy for couples who are keen to take their bedroom antics out of the bedroom. Vibrating eggs provide internal vibration stimulation for women. The remote can be given to your partner to control the sensations hereby enhancing the overall experience. The egg is worn internally making it very discreet and ideal for couples looking for a more risqué experience can take this anywhere they wish. The Dorcel Remote Control Vibrating Egg features 10 different vibration settings, is waterproof, wireless and virtually silent.

4. FixSation

This innovative couples toy is the first non-invasive sex toy designed to be worn during lovemaking. Considering 70-80% of women find it difficult to reach orgasm unless clitorally stimulated, toys like FixSation provide clitoral stimulation whilst still looking pretty sexy.

Worn like underwear, FixSation features an intense vibration pack which cradles the clitoris. As the underwear section is completely open, it not only looks seductive, it doesn’t get in the way of love making. FixSation features 5 stimulation modes that progress in intensity. It is rechargeable via a USB cable (included) and comes with its own satin pouch for storage. The device is easily removed from the underwear for easy cleaning.

5. We-Vibe 3

We-Vibe 3 was the first couples’ toy designed to be worn during lovemaking. The device is c-shaped for simultaneous clitoral and G-spot stimulation and is worn by the women during lovemaking which in turn provides vibrations on your partners penis. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of room for both your partner and the toy, and a little water-based lube is all you need. We-vibe 3 is completely waterproof – perfect for use in the bath, shower or spa. It’s rechargeable and comes with a remote control too. It has 6 different vibration modes and can of course be used with or without a partner. It comes in its own discreet storage case keeping it safe and clean at the same time.

It is always recommended to use a hygiene spray with your sex toys both before and after use. This is even more important when using sex toys with a partner to avoid the risk of any infection. Hygiene sprays are available from as little as $9.99 and well worth the investment.
