The stars turnout for McCartney wedding
Stella McCartney‘s wedding guest list read like a who?s who of global celebrities, everyone from gal pals Madonna, Kate Moss,Gwyneth Paltrow and the man of style himself, Tom Ford – Stella?s boss from Gucci ? were all in attendance. James Bond aka Pierce Brosnan even made an appearance to witness the marriage. Stella and publisher, Alasdhair Willis were wed in a private ceremony at Mount Stuart House on an island off the west coast of Scotland. Other groovy guests included singers Chrissie Hynde and Sharleen Spiteri, as well as Gwynnie?s boyfriend (not fianc?e!) Chris Martin, of Coldplay and actress Liv Tyler.
Around 150 guests attended the lavish party in the Victorian Gothic house owned by the former racing driver Johnny Dumfries, the Marquis of Bute, last weekend. Hynde, formerly the lead singer of the Pretenders, said that the bride looked “beautiful” in a fawn wedding dress said to have been inspired by the outfit worn by her late mother Linda McCartney when she married Sir Paul McCartney. It is rumoured that Sir Paul paid almost $6 million Aussie dollars to keep those pesky papparazi away from the wedding in attempt to keep the marriage of his fashion- designer daughter Stella a private affair.
Celebrity Cash Cows
According to the 2004 Guinness Book of World Records, Cameron Diaz topped the list as the biggest earning female celebrity for the year 2001/2002 with a massive AUS$80 million pay cheque for the year! Diaz wrecked Julia Roberts quest to be Queen of Hollywood by out-earning her for the first time and catapulting Diaz to the top of Hollywood’s A-list actresses. The pair were closely followed by Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez in the rich chicks stakes. Funny man Adam Sandler earned almost $90 million Aussie buckaroos, in taking out the male stakes for biggest, fattest pay cheque in one year just beating Demi Moore?s ex-old man Bruce Willis by a whisker. Who wants to be a millionaire? Or is that mullionaire, as Eddie Maguire would say?
We want you as a new recruit…
?says the CIA to Alias star Jennifer Garner. According to officials, the spunky star said she has been asked to contribute to an official CIA video promoting the government agency to be shown to university graduate students and prospective agents. “We feel that Miss Garner, both in character as agent Sydney Bristow and as herself, embodies the intelligence, enthusiasm and dedication that we’re looking for,” Chase Brandon, from the CIA told reporters. “Her participation would add a human touch to the message we’re trying to convey.”
