Top 10 Romantic Movies

Roman Holiday

Roman Holiday never loses any of its magic. Audrey Hepburn is regal and lovely while Gregory Peck is the ultimate gentleman – falling in love against the backdrop of Rome. Take us there now…

Love Actually

Trust the English to come up with one of the best feel good romcoms of all time. The stellar cast makes this the best of British.

Notting Hill

What, another English romcom? Yep, and you could add Four Weddings And A Funeral to this list, but I’ll leave it at these two. Hugh Grant is stumbling fumbling perfection.

Pretty Woman

So many fantastic scenes, from the jewellery box snapping to that piano moment. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are their box office best.

Edward Scissorhands

This list can’t all be butterflies and walks along the beach. Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder’s off-screen love shines through in this dark, sad but beautiful love story.

As good as it gets really. Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze spell it out for us, from the pottery wheel to Unchained Melody.

50 First Dates

This is the only Adam Sandler movie I can recommend, and it’s a gem. Who would have thought he and Drew Barrymore would make such an adorable couple?

When Harry Met Sally

A movie about friendship turns out to be one of the sweetest movies about true love. It’s funny, touching and contains one of the most memorable movie scenes of all time – instant classic!

PS I Love You

Gerard Butler is so hot in this utterly romantic movie of love and loss. You won’t get The Pogues’ I Love You Till The End out of your head for days.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

A Greek geek falls in love with the American boy next door, much to her parent’s chagrin. Love the ethnic jokes!

What’s your favourite romantic movie of all time?
