Valentine’s Day Brulee!

Here’s the dessert!
#1. Gentlemen prefer Brulee
1 cup thickened cream
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup caster sugar
Strawberrie to garnish
Preheat oven to 140 degrees celsius. In a saucepan combine cream and vanilla essence. Heat over low for 5 minutes or until it just starts to bubble. Remove from heat.
Whisk egg yolks with 1/4 cup of sugar and mix with cream. Our into ramekins and place them in a large baking dish. Fill baking dish with boiling water to reach half-way up the ramekin sides. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool then cover and refrigerate for four hours.
In a small saucepan mis 1 tablespoon water and remaining 1/4 caster sugar, bring to boil and remove as soon as it turns an amber colour and thickens. Now pour a thin layer over each ramekin. Return to fridge for 5 minutes or until top is hard to touch. Add strawberries to garnish.
