This gel claims to be the world’s first non-invasive Botox® treatment. So does it really get rid of wrinkles? Editor, Melissa, puts it to the test.
Let me firstly start by saying that this is not me in the picture above. It is a picture supplied by Freezeframe but I am assured it is real and has not been photoshopped in any way!
I have always been a bit scared of Botox® because I am not sure I like the idea of having something injected into my face. However, thanks to years of squinting from bad eye-sight, I am starting to notice crows-feet around my eyes. It was for this reason that I was interested to see if this new gel worked.
What is it?
Freezeframe is a new formula that claims to be the world’s first instant Botox® alternative which provides both immediate and long term results. How does it do this? It uses a bunch of fancy ingredients to relax the muscles under the skin where you apply it. This makes you less likely to frown, crinkle and crease your skin which creates wrinkles over time.
It is clinically proven to reduce wrinkle depth by 63.13% in just 28 days making it the most powerful facial relaxer available. All you have to do it apply a tiny amount to clean skin twice a day for four weeks and you should notice a remarkable difference.
Does it work?
Freezeframe is being dubbed an instant facelift because when you put the gel on your skin does feel instantly tighter. You get a slight tingly sensation that lasts up to a minute or two then it feels like you have glue around your eyes. You can crease your face but you are less likely to because the tightness reminds you that you have cream on and so you refrain.
I have been using it for just over a week and have noticed that the skin around my eyes does look marginally smoother. It can sometimes leave a white residue on your face but you just have to make sure you rub the gel in well to start with. Leave it for a few minutes and then you can pop your make-up on top.
Is it better than the real thing?
The best thing about this product is the price! At just $89 it blows Botox® out of the water since you can pay around $400 for injections every few months. It will also last for ages as you only need a tiny amount and it’s an Aussie product which always wins points with me.
The downfall of this product is that it’s designed to be used on your forehead and crows-feet. People who have wrinkles around their mouth, for instance, miss out.
Experts also say that it’s not going to be as affective as Botox® because no cream could mirror it unless there was an injection into the muscle. This is true however, if like me you hate needles, then this could be your saving grace!
This is one of those beauty products that is going to have different results for different people. It depends what your skin is like, how many wrinkles you have and how deep, as well as how stringently you apply the gel. So far, I do like it and I think it will gain many fans thanks to its nice price-point.
I could imagine that anyone who has significant crease marks on their forehead would benfit from this because the skin is more likely to show a remarkable difference.
